Haha. Ask in the spoiler section. You can get all the information there, if you want.
Digital does not equal more frames/images per second. Skyfall and may other films are still shot and mst importantly projected on 24fps, and you won't get to get the benefits (if there are any) of more images per second unless you see a film in HFR (48fps) - like The Hobbit.
And that sort of set up (the real 70mm IMAX set up) is amazing for films filmed with IMAX cameras, as the images filmed on them would fill that entire screen. With Skyfall and SPECTRE, the images will fill more of the screen, but not the entire screen completely (only stuff filmed with IMAX cameras can do that).
Now at a cinema such as this (which is probably the best digital IMAX theatre out there)
This is where you'll get the best experience for movies that are simply upscaled to IMAX or "formatted for IMAX" (not shot with IMAX cameras but image expanded to fill the whole screen at these theatres, like Skyfall and SPECTRE).
And finally this is how the average IMAX theatre looks like:
Hm, cough, cough :)
This image comes from :
http://www.hometheaterforum.com/topic/319039-s-k-y-f-a-l-l-sondage-format-cinema-vs-format-imax/
and in this French forum, it's been written just above this 1280x720 image :
"we could never find an IMAX image, anywhere".
So I rest my case :)
However, with a fuller frame on TV on the BBC (not here anytime soon in France), can someone post snapshots of a scene where there are some CG at the border of the images (for instance, when they arrive on Silva's Island : long shot + first steps on the island in front of the building). I'm curious to see if indeed they had to zoom in each time there was some CG. I wonder in particular how the titles are in this format.
I know, there's a reason why I don't go there. I'd rather speculate here and be wrong from legitimately obtained information.
Exactly. And the funny thing is I already guessed something right, without the SONYleaks. Please do not read if you don't want to be spoiled:
Where was that spoiler confirmed?
Its speculation in his part. If you want to know whether or not it is confirmed, you will have to consult the Leaks thread. It has all the detaiks in the characters.
Someone told me that a few pages back.... I mean if you're guessing and someone confirms.... I don't call that like someone is deliberately sending spoilers to me.
It certainly is. I thought we all understood that leaked material was not welcome in this thread?
Just remove the spoiler completely.

These rumours will not die!
I believe this is true
I am also quite happy about this.

I don't know why but I find this uber sweet and cool.
I am sorry. I thought once every thousand years it wasn't that bad to refer to a guess, that someone else in here more or less confirmed. There are people who don't use spoiler tags at. all. Anyway, I won't do it again. Sorry.
I don't remember you, or anyone else for that matter, concluding what you stated in that tag regards 'connections' shall we say. And even if you did, this thread isn't for that. You wrote that you concluded something 'without the use of SONY leaks', hence why I looked at it. You're one of the last people I'd have thought would do that to be honest.
