Daniel Craig is not even particularly short. According to ONS, the average British man is even 3 cm (a good inch) shorter than Daniel. And yet, it's always a topic.
If the film team thinks the height difference is a problem they should cast accordingly. The average Mexican woman is 23(!) cm (9-10 inches) shorter than Daniel. And I am very sure there are dozens if not hundreds of very beautiful very very talented young actresses in Mexico. How hard can it be not to cast the one that is taller than him and with whom they then go to ridiculous lengths to make them look shorter?
Or, if you really want that particular actress, why make such a fuss about the height? Why not just own it? Daniel doesn't seem to mind.
I mean, I get that they want their Bond to look larger than life, but if that's the goal, there would have been alternatives.
Or maybe it had to be her and no-one else? But why? And if so, and if they really don't care (Severine was taller, too), why do they try to work around it? Does anyone have an explanation?
At the fight/action sequences ! I don't know what more you could want. :D

(Even if he were short -which he isn't- like Bogart or, dare I say, Tom Cruise or Sean Penn, it shouldn't be a problem. And yet, every other news article seems to get hung up on Daniel's only slightly more than average height.)
