*have a look at the last 2 paragraphs, I think that will be included in the new trailer
I didn't read it in detail, but isn't this what they should NOT do?
Is this safe to read or does it contain spoilers?
Kudos to Shrublands at CBn for pointing this one out.
It is? I read over it in order to not spoil me. Seemed they are talking about changes etc. If not, ignore me ;)
I believe they did reshoot that scene. Remember that clapperboard from Bond's apartment next to "Birds of the West Indies"? It was released way after we saw those pictures of filming back in December and I believe the clapperboard said "R" next to the scene number, which stands for Reshoot. I think what we see in the trailer is the original scene, where the one they showed the audience at CinemaCon was the reshot one.
Also on SF, Mendes had shot the M/Bond scene in her apartment completely differently before going to Babs and MGW and telling them he was unhappy with the end result. Apparently, Logan rewrote the scene, as in its original form it concerned Bond and M essentially making peace for the Istanbul shooting and reconciling. Mendes was said to be unhappy and wanted to show Bond more vulnerable and broken as well as have him berate M for what she did. Mendes mentions on the DVD commentary that previously the scene was a little too pally and chummy.
I’m glad Mendes has the courage to speak up when he sees a scene is not working and willing to accept when he has made a mistake. It also helps that EON have deep pockets and are more than willing to bend over backwards to cater to his demands. Personally, I think the likelihood was that the scene in the trailer (as we see it) was too formal and Mendes must have realised that the opportunity was available to inject some sexual tension in the banter been Bond and MP. In the trailer there seems to be something almost sterile about their exchange but it’s clear from the reports at CinemaCon that more sexual tension has been added. Also Bond in a dressing gown? Yikes. I’m glad we’ve dodged that bullet. Not. Cool. At. All.
The white –shirt/shoulder-holster number is pretty cool. Think about that scene of Brosnan in TND in the hotel room or the deleted scene from the LTK DVD of Dalton smoking and watching as Sanchez arrives at the Casino. It’s a cool, sexy and dangerous look for sure.
It's not unprecedented.

Great picture. That is James Bond.
Yes, played by Daniel Craig.
Yes, Craig does look very James Bond.
Like the proper hair colour too.
QOS was great, SF was less so and Spectre, so far, is even worse in that respect. X(
