    A bit better

STUNNING!! Reminds me of the "Casino Royale" Poster with Vesper at the back. But damn, LOOK how self-assured 007 looks now after 4 films! LOO7 UP! LOO7 DOWN! LOO7 AT THEM!! It still is photography, but nowhere as photoshopped as the previous three films and their posters.

And I want to add something to this discussion. I think we all are over-critisizing the film a lot. Which is normal on a forum off course. But please do NOT forget that since "Skyfall" a whole new breed of fans landed on planet Earth. People who previously couldn't care less about those Bond film, but decided to see "Skyfall" anyway. Most likely young people who don't even know that the franchise did not start with Craig, but with Connery back in an era they wouldn't even think of: the 1960's!

Those 'new fans' now suddenly see this poster! Put yourself in their shoes. They probably see for the very first time an ffff-ing cool lad in beautiful, but also a bit 'weird' uncommon tuxedo. And then they see that girl and a skull at the back! They don't know Baron Samedi, but they find the whole poster simply 'cool'.

I reckon those "Skyfall"-fans most likely want to see the 'sequel' to "Skyfall". And trust me, after people have seen "SPECTRE", Idris Elba will be forgotten!

Does someone actually agree on this? Or disagree?

You're reposting your own comment, asking for outside comment? Everybody who disagrees with you about Craig will still disagree with you, because he is still butt-ugly and the wrong shape to be Bond.

I don't wan to be in the shoes of a newbie seeing Bond, not unless he is smart enough to go back and see FRWL to put things in perspective. But that would just magnify my disappointment with the current crop (feel free to change the vowel in that last word.)

I think, its time, some mod put some respect in you. I know you from commanderbond a long time ago and I wonder, how much fun it must be to live out such hatred for so many years. Congrats.

    Flagged.

Respect garnered through some implied threat from the likes of you? That AIN'T gonna happen.

Only gushing is permitted here, eh? Wow, the folks who tried to make bond&beyond fly were really right about these other places, especially this one.

Nobody forces you to stay here. And no, respect you either have or not.

I've been to the Darling Harbour IMAX...

Damn, that's a helluva screen to see Spectre on.

He's got that, "I'm tapping that ass" smirk on his face.

    can you blame him?

I rather he wouldn't because quite frankly he is too old for a 30 year old woman, he could be her father for Christ's sake. It's not as bad as the Moore/Roberts situation but almost.

I feel quite sad about this post.

What an intolerant world we seem to be in. Why shouldn't a 30 year old woman have sexual relations with whatever age man she wants. These ageist comments are pure discrimination.

I saw 'Skyfall' there and the screen was amazing! The seats on the other hand, were horribly uncomfortable and looked like they'd never been cleaned or reupholstered. Ever.

We had a theater like that in town for years when I was a kid: horribly disgusting. The floors were always sticky with (what I could only hope was) soda, and the seats were stained and ripped. It honestly looked like a Fight Club, orgy, and mass murder happened all at the same time in each of the eight theaters.

They just opened one of those full service food and bar theaters close to me (about a 30 minute trip) so I want to see it for the first time there even though I live right behind a movie theater that I can walk to in 5 minutes

They opened up an Alamo near me on the east coast of the US a few years back (no idea how the location they selected was the first one on the east coast, when they could've picked somewhere such as NY or Miami), and that's where I try to see every movie I go out for. I'll be picking up my SP tickets from them as soon as they're up, and since I have a rough idea of when they start seating, you can bet I'll be there waiting hours before it starts. Hopefully it premieres at 8 PM this year instead of midnight like they've used to do.

I don't know if I should post this in another thread, but there seems to be an incongruity regarding the Odeon cinemas site countdown to the advance booking opening tomorrow morning. the clock that shows up in the e-mail I got, right now is at 12 hours and counting, which is correct. But when I click on it, it transfers me to the Odeon website, where the clock is 2 hours ahead at 10 hrs and counting. Any thoughts?

Really? So the people who 'tried' to make bond and beyond fly were right? About what exactly? Certainly not about trying to make a Bond forum work, that's for sure.

You can have your opinion about Craig or any aspect of Bond, and we pride ourselves on offering a platform for anyone and everyone to voice opinion. But if you want to turn on the forum itself then all you do is make enemies, and the wrong ones at that.

Tickets for UK/Ireland on sale tomorrow! Rest of world on Tuesday it seems....

So...who's going for the Empire IMAX Leicester Sq, and who's going for the Odeon Leicester Sq opening night?

I'm still confused about the two TV spots classified for tomorrow. Should we expect footage or just a black screen saying "tickets now available"?

Those aren't for TV - those are just short spots running in cinemas promoting that tickets go on sale on the 7th/tickets are on sale now. Just black screen with title I'd guess.

Only thing is tickets - and probably an announcement for the, apparent - according to James Bond Radio - press event that's happening on the 8th announcing the title song artist.

Tomorrow is Monday for me, so the only thing I'm expecting this week is the title song artist announcement coinciding with the ability to pre-order tickets on Tuesday. I'll happily take some TV spots with that, too!

Tickets booked. BFI IMAX - 26th at midnight and 27th at 1pm. Empire are up @antovolk, screening at 23:30.

Ok Odeon now have tickets up - looks like no IMAX locations are doing the 8pm opening night, first IMAX showings are 11:30/midnight :( Not even BFI IMAX....

Update: something fishy is going on as it seems just the two Central London IMAXes aren't doing opening night, IMAXes in Greenwich and Swiss Cottage are doing it...wtf?

It's gotta be IMAX, I don't mind waiting a couple more hours, just means sneaking in a few more Martinis beforehand.

Coffees would be better, no? :))

Wanna wait till call centres are open for both the Empire and the BFI to work out why they aren't doing opening night while the other IMAXes are.

People from London, what's the best cinema? BFI IMAX or Empire Leicester Square IMAX?

Empire because it's getting IMAX 4K laser projection in time for Spectre, which BFI isn't. Plus Empire is better for films not filmed with IMAX cameras.
Unfortunately neither cinema is doing the 8pm opening...

I always go BFI. It's the biggest screen in the UK.
