Given Sam Mendes' admiration for Stanley Kubrick and the many things he borrowed from his movies in both SF and SP, you never know, it might be intentional.

In SF we know that the painting was used as part of a heist to lure a mark to be assassinated by Patrice. We know from SP that Patrice was a Spectre assassin (his face is on the Octopus graphic created by Q alongside Le Chiffre, Greene, White and Silva). I'd imagine that after the picture was in Shanghai it was delivered to Blofeld's lair in Morocco.
Has anyone else noticed any other small hidden detail in the film?
