UPDATED - Die Another Goldeneye Day and other Bond Theme Mashups

Started on a new project where I'm making mashups of Bond theme songs.

Next is Adele's "Skyfall" and "Another Way To Die". Actually they mixed pretty easily, I guess because they're all based on the same or similar chord progressions of the Bond theme they fit pretty easily together. This isn't the full version but wanted to share the work in progress...

'Another Way to Die' has always been my least favourite Bond song but this mash up is really cool! Looking forward to hearing the Die Another Day and GoldenEye!

Suggestions... Hmmm... I'd sure love to hear how a 'Goldfinger' and 'All Time High' mash up would sound! Is that even possible!?

@MrBond Thanks! The full song will be done soon... Just a little tricky because 'Another Way To Die' doesn't quite follow the same structure as a normal song...

Could you maybe try LALD and YKMN in the future? They're my favourites.

How do you isolate the vocal from the music (and vice versa)?

A number of techniques. Sometimes you can isolate vocals from the original Dolby 5.1 DVD editions if they are mixed in surround sound, other times depending on how the song was mixed, you can separate the vocals out by changing the phase and other stuff like that, but it's hardly ever clean. Sometimes you get lucky and actually find a pure studio instrumental and studio acapella / vocals as was the case with Skyfall / Another Way To Die! The older ones will be more of a challenge, especially since they weren't recorded digitally!

You know, it's funny, but I've never really heard any Bond theme mashups before which seems odd considering a) how great Barry's themes are and b) good dj's are always looking for "old" bits of music to put into a new mix.

The only examples I can think of are two songs that sampled theme tunes (Millennium by Robbie Williams using YOLT, Diamonds from Sierra Leone by Kanye West using DAF) and a mashup I heard of OHMSS and "Ain't No Other Man" by Christina Aguleira. But your track is the first I've heard mashing two Bond themes - and well done it is, too.

It truly is COOL ! " Another Way to Let The Sky Fall" is at best ! You took out the best of the worst Bond song (AWTD) and mixed it in a darken and softer way with "Skyfall" ; that's pure genius !

"Die Another GoldenEye Day" is quite cool too but as I've always thought, there's too much of robotic pop in original DAD and, in my eyes it never fit 007. But the mix is awesomly done !

What about mixing "Thunderball" with LTK ... would it work ?

or "Nobody Does it better" with YOLT ?

Thanks alot. Yup. When you listen to Die Another Day in isolation, you really hear what a mess the vocals are / were. Same problem with Another Way To Die. The instrumentals for AWTD are great, but the vocals just didn't gel. DAD is also quite good, when it's not chopping and popping and stuttering, the actual melody is quite nice, but like you said a bit robotic, added to Madonna's over-processed vocals and the result is quite jarring.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! Going to let it mill around in my head and think which songs I can mash up next!

I think I can do Moonraker and Surrender by K.D Lang somehow, but that's kind of obscure since Surrender isn't technically the Tomorrow Never Dies theme. Come to think of it maybe I can do Moonraker and You Only Live Twice aswell. Some sings just won't play nice with others...
