I grew up watching the excellent Edward Woodward original, this proposed new show I think I will pass
Hopefully everyone does. The lack of originality these days is depressing.
Often many of these reboots completely miss the mark as to what made the original shows so good. The writing in Hollywood is devoid of ideas, I think this obsession with rehashing recognised IP's is taking the easy option, and more often that not it fails anyway.
The only Equalizer I'll take is a 3rd film with Denzel Washington.
Seconded! Love the two Denzel Washington films though!
Looking forward to this, just hope they don't mess with it too much, it's not like Dickens story needs to be changed much anyway.
Ideally this should end on Christmas Eve, doesn't really work after that, 22nd, 23rd & 24th of December is how the BBC should schedule this.
Count me and the wife in for this! One of our favourite shows! :-bd

I'll stick with my box set of the original series. To be honest, i'm not even interested in the Washington films. What I have seen of them, I feel like I have already seen them when I watched Man On Fire. A big pass from me.
Ahh, Man On Fire - you mean one of the all time best action-thriller films ever made, of course.
A little modesty please, when you happen to be the main character of that film. ;-)
