I didn't know it was set in Greece: that's fun. I guess it's going for another nod towards the Agatha Christie, this time towards those 'Death on the Nile/Evil Under The Sun' movies :)
It's a tough life being a movie star!
Yes it is interesting, not least because I'd say he wasn't really even the lead character in KO. They could really go anywhere, which is fun.
Well, that's what he will actually make from the two Knives Out sequels.

Ridiculous money. No wonder he doesn't do British films anymore.
What happened is that he was instrumental into making the original film for a low budget, even if it was an ensemble cast. That's because he was committed to it (and because of the script and the good old fashioned setting) that they were able to find so many name actors willing to work for a relatively small fee and spend four or five weeks opposite him. He isn't credited as a producer, but he definitely received points on the gross, plus a deal that apparently granted him equal money with director Rian Johnson and producer Ram Bergman for any sequel.
Knives Out way over performed at the box office, hence the mega deal for the sequels.
Don't forget that Danny de Vito made a lot of money by being a producer on Pulp Fiction, that Demi Moore scored many millions for producing Austin Powers and its sequels (probably more than what she made as an actor) and so did Tom Hanks with My Big Fat Greek Wedding, all sleeper hits (the first Austin Powers flopped in theaters but got a second life on home video). Similarly, they struck gold with Knives Out, which means that Craig can commend a heavy sum of money for the sequels, while he would never get as much for a regular blockbuster. He was lucky, or he had a good hunch, for Knives Out. It doesn't happen often for actors.
I guess that is all a bit different for this one, but I thought it really underscored how this was more or less just a "one for us" situation, where they just did something they thought would be fun and it became an Oscar nominated blockbuster.
Interesting stuff, thanks. I did think it was quite strange that that film managed to get arguably a better cast than the similar Death On The Nile did.

Great news. I'm looking forward to these sequels, although I do think them being on Netflix somewhat cheapns the experience.
Dave is a great actor and has good chemistry with Daniel

Awesome. Another great actor to the cast, hopefully the cast is just as good as the first one
Seems that it's certainly lining up to be. I just hope the spotlight is evenly distributed. Some of the characters in the first were damn intriguing to me but didn't get much screentime to work with.
I think they will be at the cinema too, is that right? Maybe simultaneous, I'm not sure.
Ooh that's cool.
