I feel like she's been gone for ages.

I feel like she’s still there. Watching over everything.

She knows she's not welcome to associate with me anymore.

Anyway let's go back to Connery...Dalton had confidence. I don't get why Connery criticized him for trying to be too much like him
....Craig had a little Connery in him as well without trying though....at first it was often not as clear cut to tell if Craig was a good guy or not.

Some guy years ago even had a theory that CraigBond was the one who tortured and killed Solange! :-O

I don’t think Connery’s criticisms of Dalton were down to the fact that he was trying to imitate him. I think Connery pointed out that the mistake Dalton made was making the role a lot harder than it should’ve been. I don’t entirely agree with Connery, since Dalton is Fleming’s Bond, but I sort of understand where he’s coming from, especially when you take into account how long it took for Dalton to get the appreciation he gets now.

I just watched this! Daniel Craig really shows his love for the role and you can sense that he was attached to it all along and didn't simply want to turn his back and never look at it again or acknowledge it to the point of leaving fans hanging.

It seems like a good way for the franchise to move forward is also to look back....they can release producer's cuts with deleted scenes of prior films and have their respective Bond actors have a say in the editing and do somewhat more than just a commentary....with CGI or digital touch-ups, they can enact new scenes to help enhance prior films like QoS, for example.

They can make retroactive sequels through story-centric videos games as we haven't had a new one in nearly 10 years with all the graphical enhancements.

Daniel Craig should direct on his own Bond 26 or at least produce the next Bond film alongside Cary Fukunaka. It seems like the producers will stick with CF to direct the next one. At all these interviews, they've asked DC who he thinks the next Bond should be or if he has any advice. He even joked once about "leaving a note for the next guy".

Just finished watching Being James Bond. A nice retrospective of Daniel Craig. It made me a bit sad, like the end of Seinfeld. One that made me truly sad was how old Michael G. Wilson is sounding. I don’t think his time on the series is much longer. I’m happy that Craig and the producers are appreciating Quantum of Solace more and more. They acknowledge their behind the scenes problems with it, but they view it as a learning experience. All in all, a documentary that Bond fans young and old will enjoy.

I watched it last night and enjoyed it. I liked how honest they were with the QoS thing. I think, looking back, it'll be a fondly remembered epilogue to CR. That's how I see. The good thing about QoS was it came pretty quick after CR. We didn't have to wait six years for something that didn't tick all the right Bondian boxes. I still think it's a mess of a film, but I do enjoy watching it.
It'll be interesting how NTTD is viewed in a few years. I'd say the vast majority of people see it as a resounding success.

Love it. Daniel's at his getaway home near Woodstock. I notice he either bumped his head or had a mole/mark removed on his forehead. I am his age, so I know all about that.
  • Funny interview! Charming pair of gents. And Craig should hand over all package-opening duties to his wife.

Thoroughly enjoyed this exchange between Daniel and Javier, the wrapping up at the end where Javier asks Daniel about the gash on his head? Pure gold! :))

I am assuming the gash is from the missiles?

Looking forward to this, hopefully it's as good as the first one.
I can't be the only one that sees Daniel and still thinks Bond

That’s the number one curse of playing James Bond. It’s one of the reasons why some people have turned it down.

In the (almost) words of Franz Sanchez... You’re only James Bond... for life!

I watched KO1 again recently and even though I enjoyed it the first go around... I just found it boring the second time around. I don't know what it is. Those types of movies just don't appeal to me so I suppose on that note we can call it "good" because it got me the first time around.

Gotta agree in that small snippet there's something very 'Bond' about it still!
  • It's Craig in an exotic location, wearing shades and appearing somewhat stoic. Bond vibes are inevitable.
