Daily Mail is claiming Craig *is quitting the Bond role* to do the new tv show.

Seems a bit presumptuous of the Mail but perhaps they've got insider info:

There's one important word in the whole of that article - 'reportedly', as the man says, 'they'll print anything these days'.

The whole article is stitched together to a big ugly reporting - as of usual. I doubt, there is any inside information, but...as far as I am concerned, he should leave the ship, while its still sailing well under wind. Let the Hardys, Elbas, Hiddlestons and whoever fight it out.

I think the wrist slashing comments just left a bad taste, even for him. He probably regrets such statements, even though they may have been said in jest etc. It's difficult to walk that back, because even now it's still being quoted whenever his name comes up in relation to Bond. Film promotion is highly political.

No I get that @TripAces, but just like with politics (Marco Rubio's embarrassing performance last week as an example) the incident itself is what people remember. As I said, all these articles still quote 'wrist slasher'. That is bad marketing for Bond every time it is mentioned. Nobody is playing this video clip.

If it is not Baz Bamigboye, I wouldn't give the Daily Mail a second look. But stranger things have happened before, such as when they predicted the Franz Oberhauser - Blofeld connection a day before the announcement.

The media here (German-language-region) has obviously made up their minds that Spectre was the last Bond movie with Craig.
The general tenor is that he will do television for some time to come and not go back to play Bond. And of course, they dig Craig's wrist slashing comments up whenever they can.
That unfortunate statement of Craig has influenced Craig's Bond legacy big time and not in a good way.

After all that has been written and said, I cannot imagine how EON or Craig could explain his return to the role.

Personally I think, in a perfect world, Craig would do Bond 25 for a 2017 release and then call it quits.

Because Craig was freaking fantastic in Spectre!! I love every second of it.

Bond should be placed by someone in their 30's or 40's, and he shouldn't deride Bond as a misogynist as Craig has.

Seriously though, in those pictures Dan looks amazingly young. He's still got a lot of kick left in him to keep on going.
