Great interview. Thanks @Brady. Well, this just confirms to expect the enexpected, particularly when it comes down to who the new director's going to be. If Boyle is announced, I'm not going to be surprised.

Boyle did deliver the better 007 movie of last year. ;)

If Boyle was announced it'd be the first time since CR that I was really excited about the director choice. He's made some of my favourite films so him working on Bond would be a dream.

I like Daniel Craig as James Bond. He is more dark, tough, aggressive & intense. I really like that style. I wish Daniel had more charm like Sean Connery, Sir Roger or Pierce Brosnan. When Michael & Barbara casted Daniel Craig as James Bond I thought to myself..."This is a bad idea" Plus, I felt CR should have been Pierce Brosnan's Bond film. But when I saw CR I was totally blown away & on board with Daniel Craig as James Bond. Yes, I did miss Pierce Brosnan, but Daniel Craig was a good choice.

By the look of him, he tries to stay in prefect shape, so he doesn't have to start all new coming Bond. Makes sense..plus and that is why I am posting it - since Bond is his next film project (from what we know) it sure seems in the planning not too far away.

Barbara on Craig, so to speak.

'He's the most gorgeous man in the world... and greatest Bond ever': Skyfall producer Barbara Broccoli gushes over 007 star Daniel CraigBy Hanna Flint

Barbara Broccoli has been working in the 007 franchise since the age of 17, so she’s come across more than a fair few actors filling the spy’s famous shoes.
But while everyone has their favourite, the film producer has declared Daniel Craig as the ‘greatest Bond ever.’
After the huge success of Skyfall last year, which took more than £620million worldwide, Barbara, 52, said: ‘Ask any woman. He’s the most gorgeous man in the world.’
Gorgeous: The film producer puts Daniel's good looks down to why he's the best Bond

World's greatest: 007 boss Barbara Broccoli claims Daniel Craig is the best Bond ever
Action man: Daniel will continue in the role for a long time as Barbara declares she 'won't let him go'

‘Brilliant actor, and he is the greatest Bond ever - I’m not letting him go, not for a long time.’ Barbara told the Daily Mirror.
In the family: Barbara is the daughter of the original Bond producer Albert R. Broccoli and has been working on the franchise since the age of 17
As the daughter of original Bond producer Albert R. ‘Cubby’ Broccoli, the 52-year old is certainly qualified to make this judgement.
But for Daniel's predecessor, losing the part was a tough to swallow.
‘It hurt like hell, taking that phone call,’ Pierce Brosnan recalled. ‘I just said, “OK,” put the phone down and that was it. I wasn’t Bond any more. But the experience of Bond was an amazing one, a turning point in my career.'
However the actor does think Craig was a good replacement: ‘I look at photos of Daniel now and I think, “Crikey he’s fit.” He’s got the presence and the voice and he’s a tremendous actor, so he’ll be just dandy.’
As well as Daniel, Broccoli has seen Sir Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Bronson play the charismatic spy, and Moore certainly seems to agree with her conclusion.
The veteran actor told Time magazine that he believed Craig to be so great that he had to write to the producers about it: ‘I think Daniel Craig is the Bond. He’s quite brilliant.

‘I wrote to Barbara and Michael and said… they’ve guaranteed Bond another 50 years of life.’
While Barbara and Roger consider Daniel the greatest 007, it is actually the blonde Bond who enjoyed the most female attention.
From 1973 to 1985, Moore kissed 20 women, while the current spy has only kissed four.
First ever Bond, Sean Connery enjoyed 18 kisses across his James Bond career.
And while Sir Roger is the biggest lady-killer, Brosnan is the biggest killer, period.
In his movies Golden Eye, Tomorrow Never Dies, The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day, Pierce notched up 76 kills.
Lady-killer: Sir Roger Moore's Bond kissed the most women - 20 in total from 1973-1985 - while Sean Connery kissed 18 during his tenure

Deadliest catch: Although not Barbara's favourite, Pierce Brosnan notched up the most kills at 76 compared to Daniel Craig's 25

    TODAY'S POLL
Do you think that Daniel Craig is the best Bond of all time?
Yes - he is the perfect 007 No - there are definitely better ones VOTE POLL RESULTS
Close All polls Click to view yesterday's poll results Barbara worked her way up from the bottom, starting in the publicity department on The Spy Who Loved Me until six years later, she became one of the assistant directors on 1983's Octopussy.
She now co-produces the award-winning franchise with her half-brother Michael G Wilson, who didn’t show quite so much enthusiasm for Daniel when asked about his tenure: ‘He’s stuck in the role for a while.’
Barbara has also spoken of her sadness that Skyfall director Sam Mendes will not be returning for the next Bond installment.
The American producer said, ‘We’ll find someone terrific, and hopefully we’ll come out with another film as good.’

A typical tabloid article - taking credit from older interviews elsewhere, piecing together an article from bits and pieces from other sources, and coming up with a mishmash non-article that says nothing new or original. And apparently the writer can't count, either - the current Bond has kissed 4 women? Or is "kissing" what sex is referred to as nowadays? Tabloids...

I was thinking something similar. He has kissed Solange, Vesper, Fields, Severine, the girl in Turkey and M (!)

This fool is quite likely not a Bond fan, considering they also call Roger the blonde Bond. Imbecile...

    Mingling with the Royals again

WINDSOR CASTLE: The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Dinner Party at Windsor Castle this evening at which The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence were present.
The following were invited: the Ambassador from the Federative Republic of Brazil (His Excellency Mr. Roberto Jaguaribe) and Mrs. Cinara Lima, Mr. Tim Burton and Ms. Helena Bonham Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Craig, Mr. and Mrs. Jock Green-Armytage, Dr. Martin Roth and Dr. Harriet Roth, Dr. and Mrs. Wolfgang Schreiber, Sir Hugh and the Hon. Lady Roberts, Lieutenant General and Mrs. Peter Pearson, the Reverend Canon and Mrs. Martin Poll and the Reverend Dr. and Mrs. Edmund Newell.

"Occasionally The Queen hosts a ‘dine and sleep’, when Her Majesty invites important figures, such as political leaders, Ambassadors, High Commissioners or the heads of Commonwealth nations, to have dinner at the Castle, before showing them a special display of items from the Royal Library. The guests then spend a night at the Castle and depart after breakfast the following morning. "

Very classy. Is he becoming something of a friend to the Queen? That's very special, if so.

Talk about a score, Mr. and Mrs. Craig! Dan and Rachel were really amongst some great company, and must have classed the place up that much more as well. A heck of an opportunity, and I hope they enjoyed themselves.

Hopefully he didn't have one wine too much and talked Burton into directing Bond :))
As much as I like his quirky movies, but that gives me shivers....

Actually, that would not be a bad idea :-?

No, it wouldn|t, although she is really so typecast in that role, that its the same as if zou cast Mark Strong.
But giving her a role, where she ends up being the good one, when all think, she is as usual the baddie, that MIGHT be interesting.

IMO she's not the baddie that often, she played very different characters in the past

Yes, her turn as the Queen mother was a far cry from Bellatrix.

Still about the "dine and sleep", I found this and thought I should post just for the sake of it.

Bookies will no doubt be closing the book on who will be the next Bond star to be knighted. ;-)

he wouldn't decline, he's done some serious sucking up to the royals. He's likely gagging for a knighthood, its probably the only reason he's turning up to all these events.

You know him well, as I see. ;)

@Sandy - can you imagine DC being up to being called Sir? Seriously NOT. He is cringing, when you call him Mr.

He's been to dinner with her. He certainly wouldn't turn down a knighthood. He's softening in his old age.

    You got me @Germanlady :D
Anyway, I think it's too early for a knighthood. I think they might tempt him and the Mrs with an OBE first. I don't think he could refuse that.

Who cares if he turns down a knighthood or not anyway? He's an actor and I'm only interested in seeing him do that as I think most of us are.
