I'm trying right now-- they're saying limited availability
I did it through Ticketmaster, but it appears there are no seats available at the moment. I would check back tomorrow as I believe more tickets will become available through the Tiff website starting at 7am.

I never realised that Daniel Craig was in an episode of "Sharpe" with Sean Bean! THe episode I believe is the second in the series called "Sharpe's Eagle" where he plays an officer.

"Played by Daniel Craig and sharing the same initials as a certain secret agent, Joe Bang is a marvellous character, a rollicking maniac who demands precision and, for a man with a mercurial temper, is surprisingly sensitive to the rage of others. Could he possibly be yellower than even his hair suggests? It is a gloriously nutty role and Craig runs into it full tilt, clearly rejuvenated by the tuxedolessness of it all. Tatum is one of today's most thrilling stars and goes from strength to strength with every wildly different performance while Driver surprises us with each film, but Logan Lucky is, without question, the best Daniel Craig movie of all time."

Wow... that was a little OTT... I mean, don't get me wrong, I though DC and Driver stole the show, in an almost great ensemble of great acting... But to call it his greatest of all time???

MUNICH? CR? SF? ENDEARING LOVING? MOTHER? GWTDTT?...

Haven't seen it yet, but I'm sure it isn't better than CR and Munich.

I certainly had problems with the film as a whole-- the pacing, the actual story-telling in execution; the acting ensemble, for the most part do a terrific job... It comes no where close to any of DC's great films... (his performance is wonderfully executed, but still...)

Agreed. I'm sure it's fine, but there's no way it tops those two or The Girl Wih The Dragon Tattoo for me, maybe even Defiance.

I'm one of the rare people who likes Flashbacks of a Fool. I've seen it 3 or 4 times. It's not a masterpiece, but I enjoyed watching it every time.
  • @Creasy47

I always forget about Defiance...such a great film.

    I finally watched Layer Cake!
Haven't seen many of Craig's other films. Besides Bond what are his top 3?

@CASINOROYALE, I find some of Dan's TV work more alluring (he is a character actor first and foremost), but if you want to see him in a minor "spy" sort of role, Munich is interesting to check out, though it's by no means Dan's film; it's an ensemble piece.

Dragon Tattoo may be more up your alley if you like seeing Dan play more "everyday" type guys as opposed to the durable man he is as Bond. The movie is a twisty (and twisted) mystery, with Dan a lot more lean and grounded as a journalist who finds himself in deep with a decades long mystery. Great direction from David Fincher and his team deliver some great visuals, atmosphere, music and more. I think you may like it.

Of course, your profile picture of Dan is from Dragon Tattoo so you may've already seen it..

Some Voices is a very different film.

I enjoyed The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo personally. Not so much for Craig (he's a supporting character in it even though he's in a lot of scenes, and it's really Rooney's film), but because it's a very good movie. Dark, disturbing and very stylish to boot.

And it has a great title sequence too, if Daniel Kleinman wasn't available for Bond 25!!

Absolutely. Coincidentally, @CASINOROYALE 's avatar reminds me a little of the title sequence for some reason.

It's an average film. Far from Soderbergh's best. Good cast and decent performances, but the film doesn't really go anywhere and it takes a long time to pick up speed.

In the first act, DC puts on a clinic. The restaurant meltdown with (good friend) Mark Strong is a powerful scene. And the final moments, with Roxy Music playing, is good stuff too.

Logan Lucky was always going to be a quiet release, to match its small size and overall cinematic footprint.

@bondjames, Dan did a photo shoot for Dragon Tattoo where he did some posing with a smoke:

I've only seen it the once, but I remember it being pretty incredible. 'Enduring Love' was another one I really enjoyed, particularly because of Rhys Ifans' wonderful performance.

What a coincidence that is @0BradyM0Bondfanatic7 !. Whenever I see that avatar I'm reminded of the film (and particularly the title sequence) for some reason so they got it right artistically with the photo.

I had that as my cellphone wallpaper for a good six to twelve months after the movie hit theaters. Was obsessed with it at the time, and I loved that shot. That magazine even features in the movie at some point, I'm fairly certain; haven't seen it in quite some time.

Yes, that's the magazine Blomkvist runs, @Creasy47. I can't tell if Dan did a separate shoot for the film and then they made a poster afterward (or if it's a fan poster?), or if they did the shoot to make the poster. Either way, very moody.

Really liked 'Enduring Love' too. A slow burner, it has that great opening scene with the hot air balloon! Curious to know how director Roger Michell would have handled Bond, had he not turned down CR?

He seems to have a good working relationship with Babs. Now that she's doing other things, I can see him making films with her, or at least starring in some of the more off beat productions.

Whatever he wishes really? I think he may take to the stage for a while on Broadway possibly?

I have not seen the original so only have the Craig version to go on. But I did enjoy it though.

Photos of Craig at yesterday's "Hand in Hand" fundraiser, which benefits those affected by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. Pics are from Luptia Nyongo'o on Twitter. (Sorry, I still don't know how to embed tweets here.)
