I will get to your article this weekend, which is when I have a good deal more time. Just the part that says "reform of the action sequences" is interesting to me ... there are some scenes I would "reform" if I could, for sure! ;)

Thanks. This article is very special to me as its the first of a projected 60 articles, celebrating 60 years of James Bond in print in 2013. It's fairly heavy reading at 11,000 words, but you see I'd had that one noted down in my notebook since 2009, so it was really a long time in fruition! The best articles I write tend to work that way. It's also the article on the blog that Martin Amis, no less, replied to on the same day as it was put up on the blog in January 2013. More new content on the way soon on the blog.

I thought I would bump this article link up just before some long-anticipated new material is uploaded on The Bondologist Blog. Hope you enjoy it and the forthcoming new content too.

    Thanks, @Dragonpol! :)

My pleasure. I hope you get the chance to read it before the new content goes up on the blog!

I thought that I would bump this thread as it is a companion piece to my new thread on "The Most Contrived Action Sequences in the James Bond Films".

I'd love to hear your views on the article in question and on the topic of the reform of the action sequences in the James Bond films more generally. :)
