Where would Connery's 007 be now?
If we stay in the timeline of Connery's tenure, then 007 would be in his early 80s. I wonder where he would be now, and what he'd be doing?
His character seemed to have independent means, so perhaps would be living comfortably in the UK or maybe in the Caribbean on his government pension. Or maybe he blew his salary on clothes, gambling and cars, did not get on the housing ladder and is now living in Government subsidised accommodation struggling to pay his heating bills.
Or did he do "one mission too many" and end up dead in a ditch in a far away country.
Although superconfident, i always thought there was an undercurrent of melancholy, as per the books - so perhaps the pressure of killing got too much and he committed suicide, or maybe joined the church and became a vicar.
Did he stay on the side of the angels, or did he perhaps turned to crime as per Entrapment.
Perhaps he married again, and has a large family of children and grandchildren. Or perhaps he lives alone, still haunted by Tracey's death, sad and lonely. Or maybe living in a nursing home romancing the female residents.
He was superfit and in perfect health, so maybe still active in watersports, long cross-country walks, and tennis. Or maybe his years of alcohol and rich food has caught up with him, and is suffering from gout, liver problems or lung disease - or maybe succumbed to cancer.

I remember the John Pearson Bond biography brings him up to the (then) present day. I seem to recall he was with Honey from Dr No.
Or he spent the rest of his life with Domino Petacci after defeating a lunatic playing videogames, with Rowan Atkinson in the swimming pool, false hair on the head... and then he woke up from this nightmare and flew on the other side of the globe.
You could see how rapidly he aged between the events of TB and DAF. I could see him retiring from active duty (against his will) after DAF, perhaps in the mid- to late-70s. I would imagine that the government tried him in a few different administrative positions but he got tired and bored of them and quit in a huff as he wasn't being used properly. He traveled around a bit but discovered that although he still had success with women it wasn't the same as when he was in his 30s and he got tired of his attempts to recreate his playboy lifestyle. Feeling a little dejected, he retired to The Bahamas to enjoy the weather and golf and entertained friends, although they visited him with decreasing regularity. A sense of unease at first gripped him as he felt that retirement wasn't for him and he missed the excitement of his old life. But as the years went by he grew to appreciate his quiet and more secluded life.
Being away from the dangers, stress, and nightlife of his old life meant that he eventually cut down on the smoking and drinking and discovered that his health improved. To this day he enjoys a quiet drink at the end of the day on his veranda as he watches the sun go down with his wife, a handsome and wealthy divorcee who had retired to the islands at the "old" age of 47. Bond and her got to know each other socially, but eventually realized that they were two of a kind and after a few years they married - Bond finally settled down at near 60 years of age.
