LTK looks cheap and dated. I was watching it today. GE looks dated too but at least that has better looking, more detailed sets.

More detailed sets? It all looks like it was done on Blue Peter.

Yes, more detailed sets. The facility set looks like it cost most of LTK's budget.

Classic Bond. Best Bond flick other than the Craig films since Connery

If that's a fact, then all I can say is that they forgot to spend any money on the rest of GE.

What about the archive set, the set for Serveneya, St. Petersburg, the missle train, the military park and the control room. They all look more high tech than LTK. OK some of the model work looks a bit naff but Derek Meddings was responsible for that and as a fan of old Bond and the Captain Scarlet TV series I can forgive him ;)

LTK IMO looked even cheaper than GE did.

According to IMDB LTK's budget was $32000000, Goldeneye's was $58000000

All Bond film's are "film's of their time" though. I was watching LTK today and the influences from the 80s plot wise and production wise are obvious.

LTK looks fine. It's GoldenEye that looks like a tv movie, so bland and drab. It's look is the least of GE's troubles, though.

This is extremely sad to admit, but during the Brozza era I actually had a dream/nightmare that the Bond franchise had become TV movies. There's something about his films - Goldeneye in particular - that is so lame that you half expect Larry Hagman to walk across the set. I may (just possibly may) now be sounding like a scratched record, but Brozza sucked... big time.

Why are Brozza fans so obsessed with how much money the films made or how much they cost? You can't polish a t*rd and Brozza is living proof. Who cares how much money his shoddy films made? If he hadn't been standing on the shoulders of Sean and Rog those films would have been heading straight to the DVD bin.

I'm merely stating a fact. GE does look cheap in places but LTK looks cheaper. Nothing to do with Brosnan. You really have a problem!

You're right - Brozza shattered my faith in humanity and led to years of deep depression, from which I'm only gradually recovering. Those years were like being a supporter of a once great but now cr*p football team - living in hope but knowing that whatever happened, you were going to go home disappointed.

Craig fans can't accept even the slightest disapproval of his films... but boy do the same people love to bash Brosnan at every occasion... it seems they have an immense hatred on him... aslmost as if they'd celebrate if Brosnan died from a long, painful death...

You know as a very long term fan......I have never seen such a division in fandom as between Brozza and Dan fans.

Granted there was those who preferred Sean to Rog during the Rog era. There were those who stuck up for Laz and those who didnt like Timbo....

.....but nothing like the venom as between the Craigers and Brosnan podders.

I blame that Deanna woman who started the CraignotBond website. She untapped the vitriol that was obviously bubbling beneath the surface of Bond fans.

Come on we all should all be united against the common enemy!

    Matt Damon and Austin Powers

I think many Craig fans like Casino Royale a lot more than Quantum Of Solace, so be careful not to lump what they think of his films into one group.

I like you @actonsteve. I may not agree with everything you say but you're reasonable :)

Ps. Austin Powers is cool (well, except number 3) ;)
