Some musical details I noticed watching SF at home:
    1. There are some absent cues in the album, when Bond gets off the elevetor at Shanghai and when he frees himself from Silva's men (including the Bond theme)
    2. They used the beginning of "Someone Usually Dies" when M arrives at her flat.
    3. "Grand Bazaar" is used when Bond arrives at the Shanghai building.
Interesting. I spotted what I thought was the "M theme" (as you could call it) a few times.

Yes, for example when she's with the corpses.

It was only after many viewings of OP that I noticed that during the scene when 009 staggers into the British Embassy gardens the guard completley misses the car door handle.

You can see a mattress pad in the back of the car as Craig jumps from the digger in Skyfall. Noticed it yesterday.. it seems to be attached to the piece that's falling off.. to catch him if he fell back.

In QOS, the Quantum member who Bond photographs at the opera and who he would confront along with White in the ending, is the dad from the sitcom Friday Night Dinner.

    (he's in it at 1:37)

Noticed it today when I was watching a bit of QOS on the 007 channel. Got a good laugh out of me.

I never noticed the infamous "Fleming cameo" in From Russia With Love until I saw it on the big screen.

In SF, when Bond says "resurrection" it isn't the same shot shown in the trailer. In the latter the camera is closer and he has his eyebrowns up while in the former the camera is farther and he rises his eyes.
    Correct me if I'm wrong.

There are numerous lines spoken or filmed differently in the trailer for Skyfall, including many bits left out. ("Do we have any word on bond?" -dialogue)

Mendes has said in interviews that often shots that won't be in the finished film are put in the trailer just because they look good. It happens with lots of films.

The man who is sitting behind M at the inquiry looks a lot like Nicholas Lyndhurst (Only Fools and Horses, After You've Gone). I had to check in IMDB to be sure it wasn't him.
  • At the beginning of Casino Royale's title sequence, when Bond is sitting down with a gun, he is screwing a silencer.
  • That reminds me: Roger is the only Bond who's never been seen with a silenced PPK.
(Technically George too, but with him there are at least photographs of him with one)

I prefer the scene they used in the final cut, so I am happy. Bond is more steeled and in control of the line in that moment in the film than he was in the trailer.

Well I wasn't complaining, I actually like better the final cut. Bond shows a darker and colder look to Silva.

An yes, @Samuel001, I know they do that. I just wanted to point out this detail as we are in a discussion about little things one didn't notice before.

A passerby is committing 'suicide' in TLD PTS when Bond avoids the car driven by Michel Julienne : the stuntman is jumping into the "void", which, if it had really been at Gibraltar would have mean some serious trouble I think. Is it the only "innocent" passerby killed/injured in an 007 ?

Pretty sure the girl who was shot by Mitchel in the crowd in QoS tops this.

Yes, that moment in shocking! I still can't believe it wasn't cut.

You may but others might not. That's why I posted.

I still can't that Italian woman moan-screaming at Mitchel as he barrels over the fencing. You know the one.

Yes but I was more thinking "as a direct consequence of an act by 007", ie ; he's "driving" that car (and avoiding the other one). That's the typical chase scene where the "innocent" people around him miraculously avoid death only because they have super reaction times. Remember in the old times Bond wouldn't take the risk to hit an old lady :)

  • Watching LALD, I noticed Baron Samedi rises from a grave that reads, "In loving memory of James Brocket".

You guys think that's his real name?

If that's the case, he died in 1901. And is alive and well in 1973... Which leads me to another question:

What's your reading of this character?? Does he posses unnatural powers?? Or is it all just magic tricks??

I might be looking too much into this, but I think the love knot in Casino Royale heavily resembles the gunbarrel logo, anyone else Agree?

In YOLT the Toyota in which Bond is driven away from osato chemicals in has no windscreen glass. Probably to avoid reflections but it looks odd when you notice it. Also when Bond chases Henderson' s killer it is very clearly not Connery.

That moment when you first realize that Tsai Chin who played Ling in the opening of YOLT is also the female poker player in CR.

I just noticed (with help from subtitles) that Eve shouts the words, "Down sir" as she tries to shoot Patrice as he jumps off the bridge and onto the train. I could never make out what the words she was shouting.

Well done @doubleoego. That has troubled many people I'm sure, including me. Something should have been done about that when filming was ongoing.

It sounded so far off from what the subtitles were saying that I had to rewind it just to make sure I was reading it correctly.

Sean was maybe too out of shape (by that time) to do it himself, unfortunately. I never noticed the windshield thing from any previous viewing, but will pay extra attention next time

I was watching TWINE and noticed that Bond spills a little of his martini after he pinned the guy's tie to the bar. Very unBond like of him. ;)

In OHMSS as Bond is exiting Gumbold's office you can see the model in the playboy issue from the waist up in the nude.

Later on in the film you see Ruby's right nipple when Bond goes to her room.

Have you seen the model? Lorrie Menconi- she is CUTE. Too bad I can't post any of her pics here, lol
