Skyfall Props, & M's real name

This reminds me of a chap who was on the set for the Q scenes last winter. I remember he wrote about it somewhere and it ended up being posted on this site. I have searched for it but I can't find it.
Can someone help me finding that article?

Barbara Mawdsley is M's name in the Raymond Benson Bond novels at least.

I think it is intended to be two different characthers in Brosnans films and in Craigs films. It just happens to be the same actress that portrays M.
