Like I have mentioned earlier this post was not particularly made for this thread .
I did my best and I believe I conveyed what I had to say.
Its funny you should mention angry fan-boy ramblings.
You said it with Heart, you said it with Soul and you said it RIGHT !!!
It does seem hard to find a 'Bond' director, one who can do fights, action and only shows an intelligent, workmanlike approach to the drama. After all, how much else is needed for the drama anyway? Even SF didn't have much room for that, and I'm not altogether sure that Mendes didn't bungle the narrative, which is about M's failure: her attempts to buy herself more time like some ignominius bureacrat (that head of the NHS for example), her Colonel Blimp like tendencies (pontificating about new world threats and reading a bleedin' poem while her assassin is running down Whitehall to hunt her down, ignoring her subordinates), and Bond's redemption after going AWOL and his forgiveness. Instead it's all, oh isn't M great, she's played by national treasure Judi Dench, who are these horrible people out to get her?
haha :)
You have a clear more dry way of looking it at it.
True though!
