Bond at 50 - missed opportunity to reunite all the Actors

Does anyone else feel sad that a greater effort was not made to get the actors together on the most important anniversary for a celebration. Surely Barabara Broccoli and Michael Wilson could have got this to happen. And if as Barbara Broccoli said in the Everything or Nothing documentary: Sean and Cubby did finally chat emotionally before Cubby's death, then it is even more sad that - with or without Connery, the others were not re-united. By Bond 60, it is highly likely that two of the most important actors will have passed away.

Maybe discussions were had, maybe Sean did not want to attend, but either way, they should have gone ahead with those that did. Bond is always much more than just the current incumbent actor - and I think that is sometimes forgotten. I hope that this debacle did not happen simply so that it would not distract from Skyfall.

Give it a rest. Dragging 6 blokes up on stage (half of them old enough to make it look like a Last of the Summer Wine tribute act) to stand there looking awkwardly at each other - what could be more spectacular than that to celebrate the 50th?
