Anybody else seen Alpha Papa yet? I thought it was effing tremendous.
  • Not seen it yet as I have formed the impression of preferring to pay for the Blu-ray rather than spending the small fortune to watch it first on the big screen.

Aside from how good it could be as a Partridge offering - how was it on the big screen? Was it full on cinematic or just the appearance of a feature length TV episode? I would love to know.
  • Got back from seeing it a bit ago. Great fun. Best thing Coogan's done with the character since I'm Alan Partridge.

I'd say somewhere in between but veering more towards full on cinematic.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. Hope to see it soon.

I do want to see Alpha Papa but not at the cinema it's just too expensive, will Love Film this and then make a decision if it's worth owning.

The price of tickets is just too much and I can't justify the amounts they charge these days, I need to be allot more selective what I decide to see on the big screen from now on.

I've cut down on my cinema trips for that very reason - although I think I might risk it with Alpha Pappa. I know my mum wants to see it.

I myself have not seen anything at the cinema since Skyfall. Don't visit it much except for a Bond and the odd film here and there.

Saw it earlier today. Liked it but I think I prefer KMKY.

The bit when he hid in the portable toilet was particularly funny as was the scene when he was talking to the police while tied to a rope.

Yes, as a big Partridge fan I bought Alpha Papa on DVD and watched it late last year. Enjoyed it, even if it was bit of mishmash of genres at times.
