You see some shots of London before we go to M's office as in A View To A Kill for example http://jamesbondlocations.blogspot.nl/2011/12/mi6-headquarters-old-war-office.html Another example of this be when Bond left London with the Astin Martin and the Bond theme playing in TMND. In the same movie and M/Moneypenny, Charles and Bond in M her car.
Whyle i think the scene is spoiled by the fact we must stil some scene's with her and Bond and one moment be mabey a bit to much Dark Knight, i like the scene's around the court in Skyfall with as highlight the stupid move Tanner made with the car. It remember me a bit to sugestion that i made years i go that

@4EverBonded
I apologise, dear lady. :-)
Yes, Blofeld's henchman was watching Bond at the College of Arms, so Bond chases him over rooftops.
In fact they filmed it, but it was deleted from the final cut.
(I got the info from Lee Pfeiffer and Dave Worrall book, The Essential Bond)
Cool. Has it ever been released?
"While filming a chase sequence through the back streets of London George Lazenby injured his arm scaling a wall. (photos include Lazenby scaling said wall, and climbing a ladder). In the scene, Bond discovers one of Blofeld's men spying on his meeting with Hilary Bray at the College of Arms and gives chase. The whole sequence was deleted from the final cut"
So I guess we don't know if Bond kills the guy.
