Agreed! Always makes me laugh, too!
One of the reasons why Dalton is my one of my favourite Bonds.
Makes . No . Sense. Otherwise, nice cast, underrated score, cool funhouse.

Some good action, great score, lovely Tanya. Poor plot.

4 - TSWLM
Brilliant sets, good action, great Moore.

What's that? Sorry, I couldn't hear your complaints over the sound of how AWESOME Moonraker is. B-) The locations, the music, the technical achievements, the gorgeous women, ...
2 - OP
Wonderful (and underrated) Barry score, beautiful images, great Moore-Adams chemistry.
1 - FYEO
Great plot, excellent Moore performance, some marvellous action scenes: a Bond for the grown-ups.

I love you Rog!
6. Moonraker - too silly and weird for my taste.
5. Octopussy - also very silly and all-over-the-place, but includes a few sequences I really enjoyed.
4. The Man with the Golden Gun - drags in a few places and has several issues, but also features a few redeeming qualities like Christopher Lee as Scaramanga.
3. Live and Let Die - very funny, unique Bond title I come back to now and again.
2. For Your Eyes Only - a cool, basic Bond film that has shot up in my rankings a lot.
1. The Spy Who Loved Me - most well-rounded and re-watchable Moore film for me.

It's ALL good!
6) AVTAK - Not the strongest entry but still has plenty to enjoy.
5) MR - Catch me in the right mood and I might place this higher.
4) OP -Highly enjoyable. This is getting difficult now.
3) LALD - Love the cast, dialogue and music. Wardrobe is quite bizarre in some places.
2) FYEO - Superb performance by Moore in a great back to basics film.
1) TSWLM - The shining and defining moment of Sir Rog's career.
2. OP - just purely entertaining (I know it's stupid in some places, particularly India, but there's more than enough to make up for that nonsense in the rickshaw & with the tigers, cobra charmer etc. etc). Just ignore that bit. Moore arguably at his best. Colourful villains. Great Barry score. They went all out to top NSNA, & they succeeded. Moore should have packed it in after this & he would have gone out on an all time high.
3. LALD - George Martin's funky score & the title track are standouts in the series for me. Captures blaxploitation perfectly, which probably only could be done with Roger Moore, who steps into the role effortlessly with his own charm. Unusual villains, and by golly, that boat chase, to this day, is one of the greatest things to come out of the Bond series. I was genuinely shocked when Mr. Big pulled his mask the first time I saw it.
4. FYEO - disliked it a lot when I first saw it as a kid, because I grew up on Roger as 'super Bond' and this seemed too down to earth for me. However, as I've matured, it's moved up on my list. Bouquet looked stunning throughout, and it went back to an older, simpler Bond feel. Loved the underwater stuff with Kristatos, the sharks & Bond & Melina tied up. Reminded me of Thunderball in those parts & was genuinely frightening. Moore seemed older to me here than in Octopussy though, due to his serious demeanor. Bibbi was a true disappointment, as were the boring villains & lackluster finale (a far, far cry from saving the world from the two previous entries)
5. MR - a guilty charm. Some stunning action sequences and set pieces (can't get enough of Bond being thrown out of a plane with Jaws in pursuit......incredibly cool, as was the 'g' force simulator). Rio never looked better. I'll never go on a cable car ride again!! Barry's dreamy score was A+. Production values were out of this world. Had many lasts for Bond....the legendary Ken Adam's last set (& it's pretty clear that he's not involved due to the declining quality of villain's lairs since)....the last time the 007 theme was played (bring it back already, it's only been 35 freaking years!)...the last time the great Bernard Lee appeared.....end of an era. Sigh
6. TMWTGG - Roger Moore looked better than he has ever done in this one. Had some nice spy bits (the parts in Macau/Hong Kong were particularly enjoyable). Let down by the car chase that was a little silly with JW Pepper (& if you want to have a car that flys, at least make it Bond's & not the villain's....and why use a freaking AMC Matador?....why not a Ferrari or something....looked like rubbish....), and of course Goodnight (only Bibbi was worse for Moore). Scaramanga was particularly chilling & of course, 3 nipples!
7. AVTAK - a terrible disappointment all round, except for Duran Duran & the Paris Eiffel Tower sequence (and even that disintegrated with the unfortunate split Renault aftermath). Truly should not have been made. Too bloody American (& therefore 'pedestrian' to me). Tanya Roberts vies with Denise Richards, Lynn Holly Johnson & Gloria Hendry as the series absolute worst........

View has really been creeping up the list over the last couple years. That and OP were the first Bond films I ever saw so there is a special place in my heart and darn if there aren't some great scenes in the movie. That chase through the streets of San Fran with the fire truck, the ending on the Golden Gate Bridge, the part when Zorin traps them in the office building... there are some great things in this film.
It's flawed, sure, but Moore really brings it, you gotta give the guy credit, and I love that he stuck around for as long as he did. It would have been better had they had built into the plot the fact he was older but it works fine for me as is.
Too bloody American? Too pedestrian? Other than producers most that made that rubbish most of the team were British including that B grade director. Chalk this one up to shared guilt.
