    Hmm, tough one this, @DarthDimi

    5. "Full steam ahead!" - From Dr No's guards; even though he's dropped his microphone, the dubbing sounds like he's talking through said microphone

    4. "Fetch my shoes" - uncomfortable by todays standards.

    3. Car chase backprojection -

    2. In particular; watch Connery's hands he's turning the steering wheel when he's going straight!

    1. Monty Norman's music is that of 30's style stage show

But DN doesn't have any bad moments!

It was tricky to come up with those five, I must admit.

I can't think of any. The only thing I hate is that Quarrel dies, but I can hardly blame the film for that since it made me love the character in the first place.

I'm not the biggest DN's fan but it's because the movie as a whole has never been particularly appealing for me. Nevertheless here are some of the thing I don't like about it:

001 Monty Norman score (specially the theme at the end; even so, I missed his Dr No's fantasy because that was an interesting song)
    002 M saying MI7
003 Having a Q that isn't played by Desmond Llewelyn
004 The rear projection in the car chase
005 The death of Strangways secretary (it looks very cheap and bad performed)

    Doesn't M say MI7, not MI5?

I don't get all the hate for the projection during Bond's chase with the Three Blind Mice. Those screens are all a part of the charm of the films at the time, in and outside of Bond.

Yes, you're right! it was MI7.

Looks like the score is generally considered one of the film's major weaknesses.

Yes I love that scene too. It's extremely effective in it's creepiness. Didn't make my top five but definitely an honorable mention.

There's nothing wrong with the 'fetch my shoes' incident. Today, now, or in the future. They had to leave in a hurry, Quarrel was nearest (to Bond's shoes), and he was asked to fetch them (as in - he was nearest). I always fail to see the furore in this. I think Connery rushed the line a little that seemed the request a little rude to some, but as before, they were in a hurry. It's never a big deal

and then we had our hearts broken by that awful Berry appearance 40 years later in Die Another Day in a direct reference to the legendary Andress appearance. If that wasn't enough harm done, even Bond himself got in on it in Casino Royale. That's twice it's been spoiled now. You do have to wonder, who, or what, will be up next for this

I will be relieved when this is behind me for, let's be frank, what's bad about FRWL? Okay, here's my selection of the 5 minor thingies that fall right below the platform of perfection:

    5) The gypsy sub-plot is perhaps a bit stretched out in places.

    4) The wall mine special effects, which is mostly a strange coloured light spectacle.

    3) "Spectre Island" I think this could have been a great concept but it's too underused.

    2) The cue from Norman's DN score that invaded Barry's score when the helicopter comes down (and also during the boat climax: see '1)')

    1) The boat climax: a bit of an afterthought, not really required.

Again, I'm forcing myself into coming up with a selection. This is really tough. ;-)
