Geez, my #1 Bond film of all time. But I haven't seen it in a while, so I need to watch it to find flaws ...

    OK, starting with:

    5) The opening music - meh
    4) Background projection in final scene
    3) gypsy girls fighting looks mostly silly and why was this shown anyway? Seems so irrelevant ...

Oh good heavens that's all I've got. I'll try to watch it in the next few days.
Plus I didn't like Connery's hat. So there.
  • QBranchQBranch Always have an escape plan. Mine is watching James Bond films.

I'll overlook that typing error for now, and play along...

    5) Kerim's death. Such a great character and ally
    4) M switching off the recording just as Bond starts describing his 'interesting experience' with M in Tokyo. Excuse me, but we were listening to that.
    3) Making it unclear whether or not it actually is Mr. Fleming himself standing next to the train
    2) ? (gee wiz, I'm struggling now) How about Bond slapping Tatiana? James- she loves you, she loves you, it's true.
    1) The end credits. Why does it have to be over?

    Phew, that was difficult.

Haha, you are a jokester, @Dimi. I will give it a go:

    5.) The credits
    4.) The credits
    3.) The credits
    2.) The credits
    1.) The credits
  • In no particular order:

    5. Bond theme playing for no reason (but it's still cool)
    4. Helicopter sequence feels tacked on (but it's still cool)
    3. Morzeny doing a terrible job at directing the SPECTRE ships (but it's still cool)
    2. The bad special effects of Kerim's being shot (but he's still cool)
    1. The lyrics to the theme song (which we don't have to listen to in the opening credits)

    5. Bond slapping around Tanya.
    4. Slow transition scenes.
    3. Lack of Kronsteen.
    2. Re-use of Dr. No music.
    1. The final rear projected scene + Connery's creepy hand wave.

    Boy that was tough.

    1. The horrible editing during the final scene with Bond and Tatiana in the boat, when it cuts to Bond's line "I'll show you" (should have just left in the "what a performance" line, because the editing job is awful, especially Tatiana's voice-over line "Vwhhat eeez eet?")
    2. The early scenes where Bond is driven to Kerim's office, and then where he and Bond chat a bit, and then take a tour of the underground catacombs (too dull for my liking)
    3. The scene with Bond and Tatiana on the large boat, where Bond records her voice to send over to MI6, talking about the Lektor (once again, too dull and slow)
    4. Some of the less important scenes aboard the Orient Express
    5. Much of the soundtrack, especially the tracks re-used from Dr. No

I can't really point one... the rear projection at the end and Connery's hand is not the coolest thing on the movie but I accept it as something of good old cinema. But I really can't think of another bad thing of this perfect, favorite Bond movie and top 10 movies in general for me.

    1. The gangsters that ask questions when something weird happens.
(Wat's wit dat trick pool table!?! hey why's da floor moving? ect..)

    2. Banjo music cue when everyone gets to Goldfinger's Ranch.

    3. Goldfinger's Death.

    4. Rear projection of Miami Hotel.

    5. Bond repeatedly getting captured.

    Another painful endeavor, but okay:

5 - Climactic countdown rather incredulously stretched, even for a Bond film.

4 - The CIA visits Kentucky Fried Chicken. Tasteful comedy or just silliness?

3 - Bond doesn't really do all that much, now does he?

2 - Makes no sense for GF to first explain his plan to the mobsters, take the trouble even to keep up appearances with Solo, and then gas them all to death anyway.

1 - What's with that banjo stuff in Kentucky?

I'll be back when we get to YOLT. Right now this is absolutely bloody impossible. Is this what the next Mission Impossible film is going to be about?

Computer voice: "Ethan, your mission, should you choose to except it, is to find 5 faults in the 2006 film Casino Royale!"

Ethan: "I think this mission really is going to be...

    ...impossible!"

    *MI theme plays* B-)

As @Brady said, this is impossible, at least from FRWL to TB included.
GF? The banjo cue is appropiate as they are in the US, the gangsters talking in campy but I don't care and of course Goldfinger's explanation makes no sense but it've never bother me (in fact, I've never thought of that before joining this forum.)
So GF it's faultless in my regard.

But the lush Jazz que was much better as they were in Miami. ;)
  • Oh, my, this will be tough.

    1. Goldfinger explaining his plan then killing the mobsters
    2. Goldfinger's outrageously fake...something when he flies out the window of his plane
    3. The violence against women
    4. 007/003 seconds left
    5. Duck hat
Can't you just include the whole movie as a #1 answer and just be done with it ?

1 Awful background images when Bond is in Miami beach watching Auric play cards

2 The judo tussle with Pussy in the barn - and stupid sound effects

3 Frobe being sucked out of the airplane window

4 Listening to the Beatles without ear-muffs

5 Connery doing 'stupid faces' at the cell guard

I'm having a blast with this, people. :D @Baltimore_007, seriously, you don't like the stupid faces Connery makes? :P I've always thought that to be funny. :-)
    In no particular order.

    1) "Listening to the Beatles without earmuffs" It'd be funny if The Beatles weren't brilliant.

(I also find it funny how Bond slags them off here and then years later a former Beatles member and his new band performed what's widely regarded as the best Bond theme ever).

    2) The barn bit. Bond forces himself on Pussy and because of this she switches sides.

    3) Connery's creepy grin at the guard.

    4) Any of the scenes where Bond sits around captured or doing nothing.

    5) Goldfinger explains his plan to the stereotypical American gangsters then kills them all anyway.
