Which was the last Bond film for you to watch?

When you became a Bond fan from a film of the middle of the series, you began to watch the other films of the series, and there was the last film you needed to watch to complete the whole franchise.

My last one to complete was AVTAK. Turned out to be one of my favourite Bond films. Definetly Moore's 3rd best (1st is TSWLM and 2nd, FYEO).


Which was Yours? had you liked it? is it your favourite? after that, which was your vision over all of the other films and Bonds?

    I'm 99% sure mine was OHMSS, only because it was so hard to find!! All the Blockbuster's near me had all of them except that one
    This was circa 1998 ;)

    Lol, i guess that it was because it wasn't considered that great.

    #OffTopic OHMSS was also great, it was the 21st film i needed to watch. Lazemby deserved a 3rd one.

    Seriously, mine was probably AVTAK as well. I thought it was weak in comparison to the other films I had seen, and this is still my opinion. However, I do enjoy watching it from time to time. It was great fun going around to different shops to buy a VHS only to see another Bond film I never knew about sitting next to it. Also great fun to write out a list of all the Bond films, and learn and memorize what order they were released.

    FRWL, TSWLM and FYEO were the first 3 I ever saw (age 11, 1994), and I consistently consider them amongst the best of the series. It was excellent timing to get into Bond, as GE was soon to hit the scene; EON had wrapped up their problems and the franchise was back on track.

    Looking back, I also remember being fascinated by the idea that so many different actors played 007, and that Connery and Moore did a remarkable 7 films each. Some of the obvious least favourite entries (DAF, TMWTGG, AVTAK) haven't budged from the bottom of my list since discovering them, but as time passes, I have increasing respect for OHMSS and the Dalton films.

    hmmm.... i really really need to think about that for a moment.... i remember my first Bond films were GE, TND, DN, FRWL, and GF.... but my last before i became "up to date"??............. the last one i bought (after TWINE came out) was DAF.. but that wasn't the last one i had seen..... hmmm...................

    to the best of my memory, i believe it was either OHMSS or OP... as those were among some of the last Bond movies i bought, that i hadn't seen prior - either on TV or through borrowing the VHS tapes from my school teacher..

    When I got in 2010 the DVD collection I saw for the first time DAF, TMWTGG FYEO and TLD. So any of those are the last Bond film I saw (leaving SF aside obviously).

    With 18 films at the time, the last one I had to watch was GoldenEye.

    Or if you count Casino Royale '67 that was last.

    Wow... in 1981 I got a hold of a CED disk of OHMSS; that was the last one I needed to see, being up to date on everything else from 1971 forwards. I was pretty thrilled even though it was a Bond I'd never heard of before. But the disk had a dang skip in it just when Blofeld hit the tree...GRRRR. Thankfully my DVD today does not. ;)

    That would be enough to leaf me dissatisfied with the quality of that disk. It is nice to see that you were able to branch out to other formats, like DVDs to see that scene in its full glory.

    Not counting the ones that were theatrically released at the time, LTK was the last one I saw on video. Unless CR67 counts too. Then that one wins.

    For me it was From Russia With Love, as I was never able to find it. I caught up with the series in 2004 or 2005 I think, so a few years before the release of Casino Royale.
    I watched them all with my Mom, we would go out to the local video rental store and get another one every week. There where a couple they didn't have, so we found some titles on Video (I believe I didn't see the widescreen version of OHMSS until I bought the Ultimate Edition). FRWL was the one we couldn't find for the longest while, I believe I went a couple of months without a 'new' Bond film to watch before it popped up at the library.

    When I first watched it, I was a little disappointed. I was really young at the time, around 11 or 12 I think, and I was into the big action and humour aspects of Bond. I didn't really get the cold war tension of the film. I've since changed my view on the film and have come to see it as one of the great Bond classics!

    EDIT: To this day I've not seen either of the 'older' Casino Royale's completely. I've seen may scenes of the 50's one and I tried to get through the '60's one but failed quickly.

    My last one (except SF and the unofficials) were Moonraker. What an dissapointment though.

    I got into Bond around the age of 6 maybe 7 years old. First film i watched was LALD, I watched LALD around the time FYEO was at the cinema. At the time after working through the other movies, Thunderball was the movie i probably watched last.

    LOL, yes. 2nd. I was actually thinking on the 23rd film, so i wrote it wrong.

    FYEO is great. As i said, one of Moore's bests.

    Every time i watch FYEO i think how much better it would have been with a John Barry score, still a good film.
