We owe him for the hockey mask first and foremost
Some top-quality song lyrics right here....
"He-ey baby. Hey baby."
"Oooooh baby OOOOOoooooooh baby oooh baby OOOOOOOooooooh baby"
"He-ey baby. Hey baby"
"OOOOOOOOOOooooooooh baby oooooooooooooh baby-- oh that's it you're
gonna get it bitch."
On the bright side, the zombie Jason era begins next.
One of my favourites of all time, that one is.
The truth is, the actor who played him in Part V became a born again Christian-- so apparently horror movies are a no-no? He wanted nothing to do with Part VI.
Besides..... you didn't want Corey Feldman back, did you? ;)
VI is my personal favorite of the series- it just seems like everyone was having fun making it!
I read that this was George Dubya Bush's favourite movie of all time.
No matter; he clearly loves it for far different reasons than I do. ;)
Gentleman, I know we'd get on famously with comments like these. It's always been a favourite of mine. A near faultless piece of film making. A true masterpiece. Near perfect casting. A film I never, ever tire of, and that still thrills me on each viewing. After watching it on VHS and DVD for many years, I was blown away by the Blu-Ray version.
It's fathers day here, if we didn't have the film already picked out, I know my brother and dad would happily sit down and watch Jaws with me.
As it happens, Steve McQueen, James Garner, Richard Attenborough and co will star in our film of choice. After the recent passing of two greats, and as it is another favourite of ours. The Great Escape will win today.
Stands up very well, vast improvement on the DVD version. The scene where Iron Man rescues the civilians from the arms bizzare looks great. Held of buying Iron man films till recently, second one looks good certainly the Monaco scene. Just part three to get now though did rent it on bluray when it first came out.
Glad you like Freddy! I too consider him the more amusing and entertaining of the slasher villains. Part of that is of course because we recognise a speaking actor, which automatically lends him more personality.
Though I more or less agree with @haserot's ranking, I really recommend you watch them in order. There's a bit of continuity in these films which may otherwise confuse the hell out of you. ;-)
I was thinking of watching either the 'Evil Dead' or the 'Saw' films after 'Nightmare'. I heard so much about 'Saw' when I was in school, but sadly I never watched them :(
Hahaha.
=))
Very clever.
That's th eFreddy that should have been in Freddy vs Jason, that this is th eJason that should have been in the film:
It's a good thing that I have the NECA New Nightmare Freddy and the Mezco Jason Goes To Hell Jason figures, should I attempt a stop motion Freddy vs Jason. :D
@Dimi, would you suggest the Star Trek movies? I've seen the latest 2 movies (from 2009 and 2013) and liked both of them, and I am wondering if the old ones are good too?
Freddy's Revenge is IMO not the bad film people make it out to be. The genders have more or less been switched, with Jessie being pretty feminine for example. The birds spontaneously combusting always cracks me up. And this is the sleazy one. Freddy is the big Daddy this time. ;-)
Part 3 should give you more fun. Patricia Arquette is gorgeous in Dream Warriors.
Larry Fishburne's in this one too, along with John Saxon and Heather Langencamp from Pt. 1. And of course we have Dokken's great "Dream Warriors" song:
No better trailer for the film than this clip. :)
I myself can recommend most of the Star Trek movies, but I also know some people downright hate them. It's hard to say.
Yes @Dimi, I thought the bird exploding in Part 2 was hilarious. I loved that scene!
Saw it again yesterday. Overall better than I remembered.
Machete is great fun, Machete Kills goes that step further and then some. You will enjoy it if you liked the first movie.
