Guardians of the Galaxy - Man, that was a fun ride. Hugely enjoyable and Bautista stealing the majority of scenes he's in. Bodes well for his turn in Spectre. Excellent.

    Jurrasic World--SPOILER ALERT
I had a free pass and just as well. What a crock! Dallas Bryce Howard was looking good and hot and she was the only bright side to this bullshytt. I just kept feeling, been there , done that or deja vu while watching the movie. Young people lost in the park, Dinos running loose, T-Rex saves the day.
    It was terrible.

Mission Impossible Still my favourite from the series.
Big Trouble in Little China Classic one of Carpenters best films IMO. 'It's all in the reflexes' This film is so randomly good, I dread to think what the remake will be like.

There cannot be a remake. There can only be a pale imitation, like with Rollerball.

Paul Verhoeven was brought up in another thread, and in tribute, I decided to watch one of his films, a guilty pleasure of mine, namely Hollow Man, on Blu ray.

Although not one of his highly rated movies, I personally love it. From the distinctive opening chords of Jerry Goldsmith's great score, to the closing titles, I'm always hooked...

It's basically an updated re-imagining of the Invisible Man concept, but for the ADD/ADHD & teenage crowd.

Boasting superb performances from an excellent cast, including Kevin Bacon as the titular character, Josh Brolin, the lovely Elisabeth Shue (who has never looked better imho), William Devane and Rhona Mitra in a small part as delectable eye candy, it's a visual treat. Special effects are dated in some places, but very good in other instances.

Verhoeven's trademark sexual innuendo & flashes of nudity are in full effect, and the entire cast ham it up to the fullest. It's not for everyone, but I like it.

    Jurassic World

Wow...I mean I knew it wasn't going to be great, but never expected it to be as bad as it was.

Wow! Jurassic World seems to be dividing opinion. It's either brilliant or a huge steaming pile of dino poop! Don't know wether to go and see it myself now…

Do it.. You won't regret it.. Just make sure you don't see any of the previous ones first, because it's a bit of a reboot with elements of the previous 3 thrown in. Great fun though if you leave your brain at home...

Blue is the Warmest Colour (2014)
Another great film. The 2 main actresses given astounding performances. Seydoux will be an amazing Bond girl, I am sure. The film itself was very powerful, I didn't see the 3 hours go by. Before watching this, the hottest love scene IMO was the one in 'Black Swan', but the ones here between the 2 main characters raises the bar by about 10 meters.

I usually don't care for intellectual French movies where they spend time talking and eating. But this one I actually loved. I wonder why.

@bondjames, I've seen all the Jurassic films when they first came out. Remember feeling disappointed with 3. The woman was really annoying and the end seemed rushed. Did like the terrasaurs though.

The Rock apparently will be playing JB, alas so many Studios think the success of a film was in the property. More often than not its down to those that were involved when a film was made, Big Trouble... Is unique and should not be attempted to replicate.

The Pink Panther Classic comedy, Sellers steals the show and creates a iconic character.

Trail of the Pink Panther A insult more so because of the abominations that followed, Curse and Son of the Pink Panther. All 3 films should be eradicated from the known universe.

I'm 52 years old an a lifelong fan of all things dinosaur. I thoroughly enjoyed Jurassic World. It builds to an exciting conclusion. The movie itself is completely aware of it's derivative nature and the state of modern entertainment that pushes everything to excess. I also think the script is a lot smarter than it would first appear and sets up future films.. It addresses the look of the dinosaurs, sorry feather Nazis, and a fantastic ending with some great dinosaur action.

I watched Saw and Dead Silence from director James Wan, who's become quite famous now between his horror cult-classics and Furious 7 success. Saw (1, anyway) was luckily not as gory as I expected (I'm not into that whole "torture porn" genre at all :/), and had a pretty solid mystery behind the whole thing. It works as a psychological thriller with the experience Dr. Gordon and Adam have to go through. Though the movie isn't necessarily for me, I see why it got so much recognition for having such a low budget. Dead Silence was more of the classic ghost story type of horror film, and I felt it was a decent watch. Not a great film, but it held my attention the whole way through - and also ended with a nice twist. Dolls have always creeped me out, so the scare factor worked for me. I still have to (and really want to) see Furious 7, so I'll be sure to rent that when it comes out.

    Jurassic World :
I did enjoy it but not as much as I thought I would. Nothing really new
And it's very slow to get started, the action scenes are very well done but I
Guess I've grown up a bit too much, but it's still worth a look.

A friend of mine was shocked I've never seen an Adam Sandler film, so I found myself going back home with a package of about 12 borrowed DVD's of his films. This will keep me occupied for a few days.

I started with 'Billy Madison', which I've just finished. I thought the film was quite juvenile in it's humour, but still enjoyable. Adam Sandler seems to overreact a lot, making poop/fart-esque jokes, talking in a funny voice, screaming and jumping around suddenly for no reason, but I couldn't stop laughing. Some funny cameos too, especially Steve Buscemi. All in all it was a fun way to spend 90 minutes.

    Next stop: 'Happy Gilmore'.

The Incredibles Watched it on HD for the first time, ten years on this films animation looks incredible. The tone, score, acting and action is near perfect. One of the best animated films ever made.

November man - A movie that shows that there was a crueler 007 lost with Brosnan due to EON politics. A great little spy-movie that is entertaining and does not outstay its welcome. We need more November man movies.

:)) Yes, Stop now ! ...... One of the signs of a bad film is Adam Sandler's name
    In the titles.
