@Birdleson, those scenes are amazing, too. I was hooked on that film in the first few minutes.

'The Fugitive.' Thrilling, another solid entry by Ford, one I haven't seen in a very, very long time. I recalled bits and pieces, but overall, most of the movie was a surprise to me, and quite enjoyable, too. The train/bus scene was my favorite part, impressive how they pulled it off.

Just rented (Thankfully) Highlander 30th Anniversary in HD. Glad I rented as my Immortal Edition on BD looks better.

Hm. The Queen soundtrack is the one thing that drags it a little down for me.

That surprises me I think the soundtrack adds alot to the film.

I agree that "Who wants to live forever" adds another emotional dimension, in terms of its thematics. But I am generally not a Queen fan.

Balto (1995). I actually didn't get to see this film in my younger days. It might be a bit on the childish side, but it's not a bad watch for adults either. Great cast, particularly the wonderful Jim Cummings.

Batman Returns My favourite Batman film. I like the '89 film, but I like this one more. After watching the film, I finally got off the fence, and bought the Hot Toys 1/6 Batman figure from Batman Returns. In hand... what can I say, pictures don't do it justice.

Spanish Fly I can't not watch this film, and when seeing T-T, not think of The Fast Show's Arthur Atkinson in 'Confessions of a Door to Door Cucumber Salesman'. Still, the scenes with both T-T and Leslie Philips

Between Batman & Batman Returns, my favourite seems to be whichever one I've watched last... :D

The Fugitive is indeed a fine, thrilling movie. The bus crash is beautifully shot and edited and all done without the dreaded CGI. Its not the popular thing to say but actually i prefer the follow up movie US Marshalls. Its really more about Tommy Lee Jones's Gerard and his team than anything but Wesley Snipes is good as the new fugitive. Very good twist halfway though too. Great pacing, good characters, fine action

Chaplin didn't really do it for me. I prefer Buster Keaton or Harold Lloyd. Just watched one of Lloyds, 'The Kid Brother'. very funny!. Must watch 'The General' again, one of Keatons best!

    The Last Boy Scout (1991)

Caught this on film four and it's still a really cool actioner.

Typically snappy dialogue from Shane Black and one of Willis's best characters.

Damon Wayans is also really good in this.

Director Tony Scott followed this up with the also excellent True Romance

    Ronin (1998)

One of my favorite action films since I discovered it at the end of last year. Fantastic action sequences (especially the final car chase in Paris), interesting plot, and great performances from an all-star cast (Robert De Niro, Jean Reno, Sean Bean, Jonathan Pryce, Michael Lonsdale and Stellan Skasgard). I really enjoy the quiet moments between characters, as they have great chemistry. A film I can rewatch endlessly.

I have to watch this again. It's been a long time.

A legendary film. The 1976 Mercedes-Benz 450SEL 6.9 beast vs. the Audi A8 & Citreon XM is one of my all time favourite chases.

An excellent film. While it has some of the best car chases put on film, the film itself is worth watching (not something that can be said of all car chase films). I watched it a few weeks ago, and wondered why we never had a Bond film influenced by Ronin.

Die Hard: With a Vengeance (1995)

Probably one of the most fun films ever made. Action from the very first minute to the very last minute, hugely entertaining plot, thrilling action scenes every 5 minutes, full of humour and featuring 3 extremely charismatic performances from Bruce Willis, Samuel L Jackson and Jeremy Irons. I could watch this film every day for 2 months straight.

@DaltonCraig007, probably my favorite Die Hard. I love how it deals with John being down and out, on the pills and drink and separate from Holly for an indeterminable amount of time since his last outing. The great setting with bustling city life, Sam's Zeus and the chemistry he and Bruce have, the puzzles, the tension, the connection to the original movie, and probably the greatest script of the lot all come together to make it an instant classic, and for my money, the most re-watchable Die Hard there is.

What makes the Die Hard films special in the genre, and what is really missed a lot nowadays is that John isn't perfect. He can be an idiot, he doesn't know everything, he makes big mistakes and we see him bleed puddles for it over and over again, but he always finds a way to come out on top. He's a reluctant and accidental hero, and that's exactly what makes him a great one. To quote Justin Long from #4, "That's what makes [him] that guy."

This should have been a brilliant 007 movie.

    Collateral (2004)

This film is definitely in my top 10 of all time. Expertly written and directed, you feel the heat and intensity of the L.A. night. Tom Cruise delivers his career-best performance as the extremely badass and ruthless Vincent, and displays fantastic chemistry with Jamie Foxx's Max. Great secondary cast - Javier Bardem, Mark Ruffalo and a cameo by Jason Statham. The film also features a killer soundtrack, and one of the most breathtaking action sequence of the 21st century: the nightclub shootout. For this sequence alone I make it a duty to rewatch this film at every chance I get. Some moments of dialogue between Cruise and Foxx are pure gold.

    Ghostbusters 2016
Just left the theater and may post more thoughts later, but I truly believe that as long as you don't go in hating it already you'll enjoy it!
It's a good type of remake that borrows familiar elements and does its own thing with it.
It was also very funny! Particularly Hemsworth & McKinnon. I laughed out loud more than once!

    Lord of War (2005)

After this millionth viewing of this film, I can now safely say that Nicolas Cage's Yuri Orlov is my favorite character from any film or television show. Cage's performance is off the charts, he is absolutely mesmerizing. It is always heartbreaking for me to reach the final scene, as Cage finishes his narration and walks away, because this is the last time I'll ever see this character again. It's been 11 years already, I've seen the film god-knows how many times, and I still completely love it. The story and characterizations are just insanely interesting and intelligent, the dialogue is sparkling and incisive. The rest of the cast is fantastic - Jared Leto, Ian Holm, Ethan Hawke, the Ukrainian uncle and Eamonn Walker. The soundtrack is out of this world, and some of the sequences are breathtaking, including one of the best intros I've ever seen (the bullet-camera). This film is firmly in my top 5 of all time.

Dealing with a bad fever, watching Aladdin (1992). For me, nothing like a good Disney film when I'm feeling under the weather.

    Feel better soon my friend.
When I have a fever delirium, QOS has been very helpful. The editing seems slowed down, and the movie longer.

@chrisisall, if I watched QoS with a fever, I imagine I'd only make myself feel worse. The imagery of fire, the fast editing, and worst of all, the steaming beauties that are Olga and Gemma. I'd be in a hot sweat and perspiring buckets every minute.

    PLANET OF THE APES (1967)

On the surface this may seem profoundly dumb, but I see it as a brilliant social satire. That end scene is awesome, and Norman Burton makes an appearance as "hunt leader".
