The same as you: dark and slow-packed. I loved the cast - a good bit of it was underused - but other than that, it was an "okay" film: not terrible, not great.

    Under Seige (1992)

Probably Seagals finest hour, looked plausible as Ryback, much more than the sequel, Dark Territory. The Only spoiler is Erika Eleniak in it, but with the caliber of actors such as Busey and Tommy Lee Jones involved, it all makes for a major success. One of the greatest movie releases of the 1990s

Bean as a tough no nonsense agent, Rampling as his boss, sounds like it could be my perfect modern Bond film.

It's really great to have non-American actors like Neeson and Bean* becoming action stars in their 50's. I hope this movie will be a big hit, and Bean will do more films like this one.

    * He was somewhat one before, but I hope Cleanskin will be the resurgence of his action-star status :)

    The last 5 months:

    8/10
Life in a Day (2011) In this documentry there follow people around the world on the same day.
    Matchstick Men (2003)
    The Bank Job (2008)
    A Perfect Getaway (2009)
    Blindness (2008)
Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009). Concentrate on the actio now chacters are introduced what made the robot's look more Transformers and the cinematography is better. The old men is the highlight of the movie and i whas surprised Megan Fox be better in this one.
Rendition (2007) Great twist and that bold guy remember me to Telly Savalas Blofeld. If Eon whant this actor for friendly part that be great.

    7.5/10
    Bride Wars (2009)
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007)
    The Book of Eli (2010)
    Transformers (2007)
    Horton Hears a Who! (2008)
    Rush Hour (1998) Re-watch..
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) Re-watch..
    Jurassic Park (1993) Re-watch..
The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) Re-watch.. After 15 years and more then 5 views it is offcial now i like this movie now more then the first one. Earlier it happend to me that i like X-men 2 also more now then the first one.

    7/10
    Fantastic Four (2005)
    Night at the Museum (2006)
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009)
    Over the Hedge (2006)
The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor (2008)
    I, Robot (2004)
    Fool's Gold (2008)
    Bee Movie (2007)
    Changing Lanes (2002)
    Rush Hour 2 (2001) Re-watch..

7 - /10 Spider-Man 3 (2007) Knowing this be the last one form Raimi and The Lizard idea is not yused for a 4th movie not be good the movie's view. The special effects in the beginning are bad (Don't like the introducing of Sandman). The disapointed of this movie made Spider-Man 2 much better who disapointed already with some of the action.

    6.5/10
    Shark Tale (2004)
Harry Brown (2009) When we get a new episode of the Harry Brown tv series, Harry Brown feels as Michael Caine as The Equalizer.
    28 Days Later... (2002)
The Interpreter (2005) The movie is les politic then expect, like Rendation why wait a whyle before watch it. The reasen for the 6.5 is that the dificult be in how slow it be, liked the story and it not end i think it going to end. Look like more a episode of dective serie then a thriller.

    6/10
    Evan Almighty (2007)
    Shoot 'Em Up (2007)
    Fame (2009)
    Jane Eyre (1996)
    Madagascar (2005)
The Scorpion King (2002) On the edge of 5.5/10. The beginning the action like to yuse hand cam, the story feels a bit like Live and Let Die. No connection with The Mummy or atleast give that feeling. Look like to be another Romancing the Stone/ The Jewel of the Nile (where i don't like a part of the humor too.)

5/10 Babylon A.D. (2008) Directers Cut aka Uncut version (American version is 10-11 les long). A to fast end, story is to made to dificult or earlier to easy mabey. Whyle the movie is 10-11 minutes longer (97 minutes on R2 dvd) it not help to understand the movie.

4/10 The Men Who Stare at Goats (2009)
A movie i whant to like to understand, but don't do (yet).

They died with their boots on with Olivia de Haviland and Errol Flynn about the live & death of General Custer.

An actioner with Flynn is still preferable to 99% of current movie-releases.

@MajorDSmythe I've just finished dl-ing Cleanskin... skimmed through the movie to see if it's OK... looks like Sean Bean isn't there a lot in the film, there seems to be plenty of/more scenes with the bad guy's own life.....

    Cleanskin

    Cleanskin-007.jpg

Advertised as an action film, i'd say this is more a drama first and a thriller second. Bean is absolutely believable as an ex sqauddie turned MI5 agent. There's one scene involving a prostite that shows the character of Ewan as ruthless in ways that EON would be too afraid to show Bond in the same light and in a way they shouldn't but such a scene worked for Ewan. Bean and Rampling get a few short scenes together, early on they're on a park bench and I could so picture it as M briefing Bond.
Now i'm all for deepening the character of Ash, the villain, but I think Cleanskin does it to such a degree that Bean's Ewan character suffers a bit.

Watching 'Thor' now, then I want to follow it up with something I've never seen before, but Netflix Play Now doesn't have really good selections. I might rewatch 'The Thing,' that's always enjoyable.

I love everything he is in, but Casablanca, The Maltese Falcon, and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, are pretty much the front of the pack. The Big Sleep would be higher, but all that film has going for it is his famous chemistry with his Lauren, while the actual plot is a convoluted mess to the point that the screenwriters were even clueless as to what happened.

Casablanca is a much watch, the best of all romance films. The Maltese Falcon is classic noir, as is The Big Sleep, and The Treasure of the Sierra Madre is a great character study on paranoia and greed, which Bogie plays brilliantly. He has such a haunting nature in his eyes, so satisfyingly horrific. All, as well as any Bogie film, are gems. I can recommend a few more of his too, if you wish.

The ending really confuses me, as most noirs should, though I still can't be sure whether Harry lives or not. He only received a minor wound after all. The film was a real sleeper, with not many even knowing about it.

Any films where he and Lauren are starring onscreen together, of which they did four films together: The Big Sleep, To Have and Have Not, Dark Passage, and Key Largo. There is also In A Lonely Place, a great character study film with more great acting by Bogie as a pretty broken man.

Watch Captain Blood with Flynn in the Pirate mode again. Or Robin Hood, actually he is fairly good in his swashbuckling parts. And was even a very good character actor but his offscreen antics with women did give him a less a of a nice reputation.
I generally watch anything with Errol Flynn that good is he.

Just watched 'My Week With Marilyn' for the third or fourth time. It's just so good. Become one of my favourite films ever. Initially watched it because I worship Kenneth Branagh and my first ever crush was on Marilyn Monroe in 'Some Like It Hot'; love it for so much more now. Cannot think of any way it could be better.

    9/10, highly recommend it.
