I liked this one a lot. Filled with great performances and atmosphere. Laurence Fishbourne is especially great.

Didn’t mind BVS, it wasn’t great but it wasn’t awful either. This film is probably a little worse as the villain is pretty awful and it is all around quite boring for a 2 hour film. Batman doesn’t do anything, cyborg is shit, Superman is pretty awesome though not in it much. Wonder Woman is fine and the flash is pretty awesome, however the villain and the villains army are pretty garbage and the plot is all over the place. It’s probably better than suicide squad but not better than BVS.
    3/10

(BVS is a 5/10 for me)
    and
    ( Suicide squad is a 2/10)

With my recent less than stellar opinion of Thor ragnarok as well, I think I’m getting super hero fatigue. Not gonna be seeing black panther or cyborg or aqua man or any of that, and I consider myself a super hero fan but I’m just tired of all of these. Looking forward to infinity war though.

Director Zack Snyder for JUSTICE LEAGUE.
Why did they give him the job especially after making the Average Man of Steel (2013) and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016) ?

A couple of weeks ago – but still the last movie I've watched: The Italian Job (1969).

Think this is the second time I've seen this one. Just as entertaining as the first time, and more time to enjoy the details. Could not place the actor playing the Computer room official, but after looking through the cast list on Imdb, it's of course John Louis Mansi -known for his role in 'Allo 'Allo.

How do people feel about the ending in The Italian Job.? Read somewhere that different endings were written, but that they opted for this one instead.

Just an observation; but with the upcoming films you mentioned, Infinity War is the 2nd movie to come out with black panther coming out 1st in Feb, yet despite your fatigue, it's interesting to note that the film's you mentioned that you don't plan on seeing are new solo properties led by actors of colour yet Infinity War aka the THIRD Avengers film is something you're looking forward to. Yes, fatigue indeed.

Last film I saw...Casino Royale. I love this film and it's great but watching it yesterday, I realised for the first time what others have criticised it for; and that is the film is too damn long. I've never noticed let alone been bothered by it's run time but wow, I really felt just how long this film is.

I'm a bit uncertain how much I like it. Makes a good cliffhanger, but I sure would like to have seen how they could have done it differently. The ending doesn't make the film any less enjoyable, though.

I get what you're saying but I don't think it's superhero fatigue. These movies are sticking with the same formula. With the exception of BVS, all these superhero films are starting to turn into comedies and Thor: Ragnarok is a great example. Every other scene, if not every scene, had something that was funny.
BVS on the other hand had only one joke and it wasn't even that funny. I know for so many people that movie had more than a few problems but one of the top three complaints I heard was that it lacked comedy. When did the standard for superheroes have to entail comedy???
I say give Black Panther a chance. It looks like it's actually bringing something new to the superhero genre. Not to mention it's the last MCU movie before Infinity War comes out.

Well I don’t mind the avengers films or civil war, so yes I am looking foreward to infinity war, however unless they make another iron man solo film, I’m tired of all these formulaic Superhero films with just the same shit. I didn’t really like black panther in civil war because I found his african accent to be bothersome and inaccurate.

I've seen this loads of times! Remember it been on one Christmas as a kid and i've loved it ever since. Big Michael Caine fan, so its part of my dvd collection. Great cast with terrific parts for Noel Coward and Benny Hill. And that chase at the end from Remy Juliennes stunt team is marvellous.
    The remake is appalling!
Oh and i love the ending..." this is the south preservation society..."

I didn’t really like black panther in civil war because I found his african accent to be bothersome and inaccurate.

Not sure where you're coming from there. If you didn't like him then fair enough but his accent inaccurate? Compared to what? Wakanda is a fictional African country unblemished from colonialism; and the continent of Africa has more different sounding accents than anywhere else on the planet. The accent he used was decidedly African-sounding and I would know because my background is Nigerian and I've lived in different parts of Africa so I've heard enough to know Chadwick Boseman does a good job in sounding authentic enough; which is a relief because I for one wouldn't have watched the film and no longer supported Marvel if they took such an iconic character and decided to lumber him with a typical American accent that goes against who the character is. They've even toned down and damn near removed Wanda's eastern European accent which is a crying shame.

Furthermore, Black Panther isn't going to be another doctor strange or ant-man. You can believe that. Ryan Coogler as cowriter and director is coming correct with this film and the cast is arguably the best the genre has assembled.

It's so hard for me to find time to go to a movie these days- and sadly, I think I'm actually gonna pass on this after all.... I like that Joss tried to 'repair' it as best he could, but basically I really only wanted to see it for Wonder Woman. And that's not a good enough reason to spend the same amount (or MORE probably) on just buying the Blu Ray, to say nothing of eking out a 4hr block of time to do it. I *hate* Superman's costume, I *hate* Flash's costume, not a fan of Aquaman or Cyborg to begin with, Ben is just okay as the Baman IMO (like Christian was), and add to that a weak villain-?
It'll certainly go down better with me on my home screen along with a couple of shaken not stirred Martinis. ;)

    And my background is Kenyan.
His accent was like an American trying to do just a generic Black accent which I didn’t like, but that’s not the reason I’m not gonna see it, it’s just a minor problem, the reason I’m not seeing it is because I have realized after watching Thor and justice league that as much as I like superhero movies, they are really starting to bore me. So ill go out for anything that has iron man in it or maybe Batman or like the joker but I’m not gonna keep going out to these solo outings because they are all the same. Oh and I’m a long time spiderman fan so I’ll see those too.

Here are the top 4 Metascore Ratings on Metacritic.com for Logan Un-Lucky :)
    These guys are NUTS.

    100
    The Playlist Drew Taylor
This is a brilliantly constructed, whip-smart, and laugh-out-loud-funny romp from a filmmaker whose precision and craft is nearly unparalleled. It’s hard to think of a movie this year that has been as singularly delightful, one that, with each passing moment, reveals something charming or odd or real.

    91
    The Film Stage Nick Newman
Logan Lucky‘s spell is light, the magic casual.

    90
    Variety Owen Gleiberman
Logan Lucky is Soderbergh in mid-season form, and there should be a solid summer niche for a movie that’s this much ripsnorting fun.

    80
    Empire Andrew Lowry
Even if it needed one last push to make it truly exceptional, there’s a lot to enjoy here. And Soderbergh once again attracts a cast it’s a pleasure to spend time with

I enjoyed LL somewhat. Definitely not as good as critics made it out to be. Took too long to get going and by the time it took off it was too late. I don't see myself going back to it any time soon.

    Justice League

do not read the review if you want to remain spoiled free
Look I don't know what the issues critics have with this film honestly there is no right way to do a team film X-men had issues Avengers was the best of the team bunch honestly but even it had issues (seriously Hawkeye was criminally underused)

But I almost want to sit ciritcs down and say Assuming Disney is not buying you cars and orgies what do you honestly want from a Justice league film

So I am going to do a similar review to that of Now Playing (my favorite podcast and their review of this film will be up tomorrow)

So the theater was pretty full which bodes well I hope as I really want a sequel based on the end credits sequence

So the film starts with kids interviewing Superman (which when asked what is the best part of earth I whispered to my friend "Banging Amy Adams because she is super hot") we then move on to Batman fighting some guy it's a cool fight (not as good as BVS but ok) and again introducing the various characters I'm going with the vibe Cyborg was cool (seeing the guy from Terminator 2 was actually a nice easter egg in my opinion he goes from creating Skynet to creating Cyborg) and I am going with it the heros are all strong in my opinion going over each of them quickly

Ben Affleck as Batman: great job again he knocked it out of the park if he doesn't get a solo batman film it will be the biggest crime against batman on film since Batman & Robin

Jeremy Irons as Alfred: continues to be the best Alfred on screen period better then Michael Gough or Michael Caine

JK Simmons as Gordon: he is just Ok to be bluntly honest He doesn't quite have the warmth of Oldman's Gordon but he isn't bad and honestly I would be curious to see him in the solo batman film

Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman: she is again brilliant and gorgous in the film on a personal note its a battle between her Hilary Duff and Caity Lotz for my one celeb free pass

Henry Cavill as Superman: yes he comes back to life and for the critics who say nothing is made of it are you FREAKING KIDDING they spend nearly 15 minutes debating on whether to bring him back or not then when he comes back it's Pet Semetary for a bit before finally after 30 minutes he is fine again and Henry plays the role perfectly he deserves John Williams Superman Theme (more on the music in a bit)

Amy Adams and Diane Lane were both ok not really amazing..

Ezra Miller as Flash: Brilliant again I like how he plays the role and enjoy his interplay with Batman again the idea of someone with powers actually being scared to fight and Batman training him on the spot was really cool the stuff with his dad was great and something I could relate to as not to get too personal recently my parents were hard on me about something and the conversations flash had with his dad were very similar. Also LOVED the Pet Semetary references and I am a little sad the only film he is getting is Flashpoint

Ray Fisher as Cyborg: I believe this is his break out role mostly doing stage plays and this is an actor to look out for I think he does a brilliant job even saying Cyborg's teen titans catch phrase of Booyah but not in a cheesy way he pulls it off I have already talked about the actor playing his dad (which I swear was a studio mandated joke cause I doubt Snyder or Weadon to Terrio or anyone else was the clever but I could be wrong cause that is the most meta of jokes)

Jason Mamoa as Aquaman: the guy did the impossible I really had no interest in seeing Aquaman next year but Mamoa's charisma and look really made me want to see Aquaman now (which seriously seeing Him Cavill and Aflleck shirtless any one else feeling inadequate seriously I need to hit the gym more)

All the heros seem really well done in fact the weak points is the villains and the fact the Russian family keeps showing up (its like uhm who are they and why are they important)

Sorry Steppenwolf is as one dimensional as Loki in Avengers it's like so he is evil ... why?

however the end credit scene with Luthor Eisenberg did better as luthor in that one scene then in all of BVS and should come back for a Man of Steel 2 or hell anything really.

Also Batman shooting a gun was well uhm yeah that pissed me off...

One last thing the MUSIC is amazing I loved Williams Superman Score and Elfman's batman theme came back sorry some music is just Iconic with a character and I kind of hated WB's constant attempt to reinvent the wheel if a piece of music fits a character like a glove USE it!

Overall I recommend everyone see this film

it's defintaly one of the best films of 2017 in my opinion

I saw it and I honestly enjoyed myself. It's nothing compared to The Avengers but I also don't compare the two anyway.
What didn't you like about Superman's suit? If it was the darker colors, then you have nothing to worry about. They lightened up his suit and it's pretty noticeable.
I also wasn't a fan of Flash's costume but it grew on me while I was watching the film. I'm also not a fan of Aquaman and Cyborg but they ended up being my favorites of the movie, especially Aquaman.
I will say that I actually love Affleck in the role of Batman/Bruce and thought he was awesome in BVS. However JL he didn't seem like he really cared to be there. Must of been because he doesn't want the role anymore.
I say overall the movie is decent and is worth a watch in theaters. I'm debating going again while it's on the big screen.

    Justice League review
    Some minor spoilers!

    Well where to begin..
I have been waiting for a JL live action film since I was a kid. Unfortunately the movie was a 7/10 for me. Don’t get me wrong, Zach Snyder cast all the right actors/actresses for the roles. The costumes were stunning and amazing. There were some promising shots in the film that were god like...

For example the red skies were amazing, kinda gives a preview of the world DS and SW live in. Loved it. The ending shot of Batman with his batchopter was also one of my favorite shots. Got me pumped for a solo Bat film!

Now I managed to talk to a guy who did some of the visual effects for the film, basically for those who don’t know about “Mustache Gate”, Henry Cavill had a mustache throughout the filming process. He was in Mission Impossible and they said he wasn’t allowed to shave it. So they had to reshoot a good chunk of the movie when Whedon came aboard. The lower part of Cavills face was pure CGI. The first half of the film is Snyder and the second half is pure Whedon (minus the Superman ending and post credit scenes).

My problem with this film is that it really needed an extra hour just to flow better. I actually think “Suicide Squad” was a better film.. Yes JL was better than BVS but the problem is that the entire plot fell flat, I didn’t feel like there was really any real danger. They are literally in a remote part of Russia, to me they should’ve had SW take over Gotham, should’ve showed Parademons killing innocent bystanders. They needed to show that the end of the world threat was real.

I would’ve rather they waited till say Feb-March 2018 just to perfect the CGI and to add an extra hour to the movie. I would’ve gladly waited.

Instead we got a rushed movie with some really crappy CGI.
The whole movie just felt off. We deserve so much better.

Another thing that sucked for me is that the team pretty much couldn’t even handle SW, Superman shows up and kicked his ass with ease. I was expecting way more. Once again Batman became a bystander to a threat he couldn’t even remotely handle. This is one reason why cutting Deathstroke out of the film sucked. Seeing Batman take on Deathstroke would’ve been a great little side story for Batman. How can they go from the warehouse scene to this?

So I blame the writing, the directorial change, CGI deadline and cutting out the eight leaked deleted scenes.

We only get on DC movie next year and that’s next December (Aquaman). So much for DC’s place to release 2-3 films a year. Ben Affleck is always rumored to leave.

Now some major spoilers about that one post credit scene...

Deathstroke and Lex talk about forming a legion of doom team!
Gotta say that Deathstroke costume was insanely badass.
One of the highlights of the film sadly. It’s looking like the legion of doom will be in Suicide Squad 2 possibly or maybe that will be the plot of the Deathstroke solo film? I doubt they will include that for the plot of a JL2. Also wonder if they hope to add Shazam or GL to the team. Possibly both.

I am more excited for the legion of doom than a justice league 2.

Can anyone else picture Matthew Mcconaughey for Reverse Flash?! Hyped![\spoiler]

    2. Suicide Squad (Very fun)

    Terminator Genisys.

I am surprised to say I really enjoyed this! Certainly better than T3 that's for sure. However? I still firmly believe that they should have continued with the Bale trilogy!

Up next MacGyver lost treasure of atlantis

Glad to see some love for the MacGyver TV movies and 2 part episodes. The season 5 opener: Legend of the Holy Rose is a fond favorite of mine with Christopher Neame as the villain.
I could almost bet when they cast Mac's colleague in that episode, the producers had just seen LTK and said: "Find a Carey Lowell type". Ironically later in that season there would be an episode featuring a drug dealer named Sanchez.
