I've seen this film for the fourth time now. It's quite different from Argento's original, meaning it's tough to compare it either favourably or unfavourably to that one. The very elements that defined the Argento film, including the setting, the music and the vibrant colour palettes, were almost completely re-defined or inverted. The original story was readapted from scratch, resulting in an entirely different pace, feature-length, setting and overall 'horror' construct. Yet no matter how big a fan of the original I am, and therefore prone to harbouring ill feelings against a 'remake' that artistically deviates from Argento's masterpiece in almost every possible way, I find myself endlessly fascinated and in love with the 2018 film. Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton and many others were perfectly cast in my opinion, and the winter-washed colours, the awkward but brilliant music and the weird but awesome climax keep me hooked for the full two-and-a-half hours of cinematic excellence.
This film will never be to everybody's taste, and there's a good chance it'll be forgotten much sooner than the original chapter in the "Three Mothers" trilogy. But I, for one, take great pleasure in going through the unsettling dance routines of Suspiria 2018.
Absolutely, big fan of his (thanks to that other legend, JCVD). Do you follow his channel on Youtube? He has been scoring some really good guests lately. I never occured to me before I watched his interview with her, but I need to get hold of some Cynthia Rothrock films.
I agree. I adore the 1977 version, but this one is a fascinating film too. It's nice to have these two wildly different approaches of the same premise.
Superman: Man of Tomorrow Good retelling of Superman's origin story that does not get too bogged down with going over old ground... again. It's a simple story that has a good level of maturity in the tone and some graphic violence. The strength of this film (rebooting a new universe) is the character development and good voice acting, when the film finished I wanted to see what will happen next with these characters. Some of the animation and action is superb, the way Superman moves through the air in some shots is how I would like to see flight in a live action film.
I actually like this film a lot. Tell us, was this the unrated or theatrical version? I have the unrated.

Avengers Infinity War 4K its been a while since I watched this all the way through, great movie some awesome scenes. Definately in the top 2 or 3 MCU films. I think it's a far better film than Endgame though admittedly Endgame was more ambitious.
Wow where do I begin it’s an ok film but I don’t know why as this film should be in my wheel house I mean it’s got highlander call back galore it’s written and directed by the guy who wrote and directed highlander. But still I just wow this film... there are plenty of issues

1. Why do hard boiled detectives in the 90’s chew gum all the time?
2. Why is Gregory Widen obsessed with trench coats?
3. With all the highlander call backs what was Christopher Lambert to busy or something?
I just don’t know I defiantly don’t hate it but I don’t love it...
Seriously has anyone else seen this like am I missing something has anyone else seen this film?
Oh and maybe it just bothers me as a Christian but if you are doing a film with Christian themes and god and the devil Being real in your film Native American exorcism shouldn’t work period but that is just my opinion

I never saw this so called b-horror classic before, but it was just as bad as I expected.It would have benefitted from keeping the monster obscured, and maybe include Tarzan.
Nice little film starring Justin Long about a college professor trying to cope with his hospitalized grandmother's final hours, his somewhat confusing family situation and attacks from "snowflakes" at work. It was especially the latter plot line that kept me intrigued, as I am unhappy with the way us teachers have to consider every single word before we can utter it lest it be pulled out of context and turned into a social media hysteria.
With some good laughs and a couple of tears, with good acting, especially from Justin Long, whom I've always liked as an actor, this little-known film tells a story that isn't particularly fresh, but in a way that is.
Some funny scenes here and there, but mostly a dumb and meaningless movie.
Best line: "Has your father stopped crying?"
At times, this is both brilliant and hilarious, and also quite moving. As opposed to LIAR, LIAR where Carrey is compelled to tell the truth, Gervais is the only person in the world capable of telling lies. It just dawns upon him one day, and hilarity and all the other stuff ensues.
This has annoyed a lot of people , but I loved it. Good film with a serious theme. Great performances from everyone, especially the lead. The haters accuse the film of the very thing it problematizes. Most didn t even see it before getting aflame.
I heard last week that it was directed by a Frenchman in his fifties, and that he was arrested for illegal porn.
The director is, in the real world, a Frech-Algerian woman in her thirties, and highly respected in the film industry.

Duck, You Sucker! aka A Fistful Of Dynamite - My admiration for Sergio Leone only seems to grow which each subsequent viewing of his movies and this one is no different.
Not nearly as known or heralded as his Dollar Trilogy or OUATITW, it is nevertheless an undisputed masterpiece. Possibly his darkest film, a monumental epic featuring stellar performances from Rod Steiger and James Coburn. And of course that magnificent score by the Maestro... "Sean, Sean"

Good one. Mortensen and Ali both give outstanding performances. Lots of fun and drama.
Not available on Blu-Ray until last year, it's one of the more obscure items in Sir Roger's filmography. He plays a half-Sicilian(!) consigliere to his mafia uncle in California. Stacy Keach plays Roger's odd job man, and their trans-Atlantic cross-class system chemistry is reminiscent of Moore and Tony Curtis in The Persuaders. Being an Italian-made 70s crime film, Street People is stylishly directed and garishly costumed, but the plot gets lost two-thirds of the way through. By then I didn't mind, because the film is set in San Francisco (and aside from a couple of Sicilian interludes genuinely filmed there). Being a resident of the city, I was delighted to watch Moore and Keach gallivant across the 1970s cityscape, venture into Sausalito, and experience a car chase in the Marin headlands. Bay Area Roger Moore fans will find much to enjoy in Street People.
Oblivion 4K I already have a collectors edition Bluray of this film, the 4K version makes the amazing visuals even better. Along with two Nolan films and Tom's Edge of Tomorrow one of the best science fiction movies in the last ten years IMO.
