Cynthia saying why she was not in The Expendables :))
Scott was mentioned a few times, great interview what an amazing woman.
That was a great interview. All the good ones were touched on; Righting Wrongs, Lady Reporter, Yes Madam, China O'Brien 1 and 2. Sworn To Justice also got a brief mention.
China O'Brien 3? Yes, without hesitation, that needs to happen.
I have subbed to her channel, I love her positive attitude. I will see if i can get hold of her remastered films on bluray.
You might want to look up the video where she interviewed Scott, following her appearance on The Art Of Action.
Will do mate, thanks for the tip.
The shootouts are phenomenal. One of my favorite films in the western genre.
Wrath of the Titans The script is somewhat lacking though as a fan of the genre I enjoyed the re watch. The visuals are good and Gods, Demigods and Titans at war is often fun.
Sherlock Holmes and the Hound of the Baskervilles 1939, I just bought the restored collection of all Rathbones Holmes films, this is arguably the best and a classic. A very atmospheric film with stunning black and white photography, the hound mauling scene is brilliantly realized for the time.
Lost Highway an underrated masterpiece by the brilliant David Lynch. Many reviewers have in the past complained there is not a cohesive narrative, they are completely missing the point.
There is a piece of dialogue early in the film that unlocks this story and the majority of Lynch's work.
Got a nice steelbook in 4k.
This still holds up really well as an action thriller. Very well made, directed by Ted Kotcheff. Great cast, as well as Stallone as the infamous John Rambo, Brian Dennehy is terrific as the Sheriff of the small town that gets on the wrong side of Stallones Vietnam Vet, and end up hunting, and then hunted by him. Thrilling action, memorable set pieces, the cliff jump, the tunnel with the marauding rats, excellent score by Jerry Goldsmith. Marred slightly by Slys cringey speech at the end, but still high octane thriller, well worth repeating views.

RAMBO: FIRST BLOOD PART II (1985)
I did see this at the cinema, and recall being entertained, though missd the taut thrills of the first movie! But boy, has this not aged well. In a nutshell, its bloody awful! Lousy script ( co witten by James Cameron, who claimed just the action is his!) Stallone mumbling hero, runs about like he has a poker up his behind, Steven Berkoff turns up as rent a villain, the other bad guys, on the home team, look like they're auditioning for The A Team and Richard Crenna returns as Col. Trautman and looks bored out of his head. Poor direction from George P. Cosmatos, and even Camerons written action is badly staged! I mistakenly bought this on 4K, which adds nothing, an insult really to the superb original!
I haven't been tempted to buy 'Rambo III', saw that too in the cinema, and remember being bored by it (Would have been interesting to see what original Director Russell (Highlander) Mulcahy would have done with it?
I may purchase the fourth movie, as I do recall that being quite good, but have absolutely no intention of buying 'Last Blood' as it was utter rubbish!
The fifth one? The less said about that, the better, but I have debated rewatching it to see if it's not as horrible as I thought it was on release.
You're a braver man than I am @Creasy47 😁
Its a terrible film on every level, and I was actually looking forward to it when I saw the initial photos/ trailer, but its awful!
Wasn't there a rumour they were going to remake the original, which would be closer to the book? I hope not, as I still think the first one is an exceptionally made thriller!
The first and fourth films are really the only ones I'd consider essential, though. They really do work nicely as a pair.
Perfect wrap-up for the character and incredible brutality in all those action sequences.
First Blood
Rambo
Last Blood
Rambo: First Blood Part 2
Rambo III
I will admit I rarely watch Rambo III and should give it another chance, when it was originally released I pretty much hated it..
I think Last Blood is underrated, on first watch I did feel they showed way too much in the trailer. I don't have the American cut of the film with the flood rescue scene at the start though I have watched that scene on YouTube.
I'm not even a big fan of Ruffalo but I LOVED him in this.
This film is a hard watch, unwatchable, with the DISGUSTING slavery in the usa contained within it.
Even Django treats his fellow slaves with disdain. :-O
Did you like the film, @007InAction?
No i didn't like it. I saw it years ago also.
Have you seen it ? If so what do you think about it and the "hero" ? Django ?
I think it's an awesome film. Hard to watch, yes. That's the point. QT makes us feel the pain of slavery. Also, Django wants his girl back. And he's playing his part so he can find her. Eventually, he takes out a full household of slave-owners, racist goons and traitors. Sure, he's a cool "hero". But not a one-dimensional one. QT isn't interested in one-dimensional heroes, I think.
You should check Peter Hyams debut 'Busting' (1974), one of my favourite cop thrillers. With Elliot Gould and Robert Blake!
