Bien.
How cheap of you to think in that way!
I imagine your stay here will be short enough without resorting to that kind of language, but you are your own judge, sir.
For the record, I'm not a moderator, and I certainly wasn't rude.
I hope I shall wear a black armband for your impending funeral as a member here, sir. Comparing someone to a Nazi is about as low as you can stoop. You should really retract that if indeed you have any shame. I have no desire to be a moderator here or on any site. I enjoy being a member and that is enough. You of course have flagrantly broke the rules by having two accounts and numerous other misdemeanours.
I won't respond to you again. You are trying to flame me (and others) and I won't feed your insatiable ego.
Good day, sir.
A wise decision. Let the mods handle the troll and his already numerous violations as you've described. I wish these people would go to the DCINB site and drive them crazy. Oh well, I suppose it speaks to the fact that this site is obviously the very best place to be.
I can't think of many (if any) other women who could have carried off the role.
I think she did a great job.
I also read that her name was revealed to be Olivia Mansfield; it's interesting, though, because in Casino Royale Bond says "I thought M was just a randomly assigned letter; I had no idea it stood for m-"
And it sounds like he makes a "maw" sound before he was cut off, which I think gave rise to an old theory that Judi's M's name was Barbara Mawdsley (sp?), which was the name of a female M in some continuation novel, wasn't it?
Point is, I wonder if Judi's M's name was Mansfield from the beginning of her tenure (GE), or was decided at the beginning of Craig's tenure, or maybe even the decision was made during the production of SF?
Any thoughts?
Im one of those people who think the '' The Bitch is dead '' line should have been saved for the climax of Skyfall.
Being a Dame gave her more prestige so in my opinion they gave her more and more screen time because of it.The scene in Skyfall where she is reading a Tennyson poem while Silva is on his way to kill everybody is ludicrous but the filmakers probably thought it was deep and meaningful just because DAME Judi is reciting the lines.
They also thought that her death would make the audience feel sad just because shes DAME Judi ( Its actually a happy ending for many cos her M is so annoying and idiotic ).
Really the only thing ludicrous here are your opinions, and that you pass them off as fact.
The chemistry between M and Bond in the Craig era was a pleasure to watch.
Loved Marigold Hotel and am looking forward, that the sequel - hopefully - comes to Germany.
The lines from Tennyson are a thoughtful reflection on what Britain has been, is now, and will be. As for M's death, I would have preferred she not die at the end of SF, but retire, perhaps because of her injuries. For me, that scene is a bit too sentimental.
As for your other observation, I await your interview with the producers speaking candidly about the burdens of working with an overpraised dame who recites lines.
Its a load of baloney because she should have ordered a security lockdown or evacuation considering that Silva was on the loose and if she had lived should have been charged with criminal negligence considering how many people died due to her need to read poetry instead of DOING HER JOB.
The whole film just makes not only her and Bond appear incompetent but all of MI6.
Dont confuse the part that Dami Judi was playing with her qualities as a world class actress. M was meant to be depicted as having made mistakes in the film in terms of character judgement. To criticise her acting abilities is crass and naive beyond belief.
I wonder who was the director.
Totally fair point. I think a lot of people will agree with you here; I personally liked the M storyline as it followed through Skyfall, but you can't really say many negative things about the Dr. No formula; M gives Bond the mission, then it's all about Bond.
