    I am actually extremely excited!!!

It’s like let’s just double down on the horror for the sequel with the creepiest and scariest villains in the Batman universe

Just a rumor for now, but I would be extremely stoked if Clayface was the lead baddie.

Me too! I wonder how they would pull Clayface off, given the realism of The Batman (2022) universe.

How possibly coincidental isn’t it? Maybe he can still get his movie? It’s time to see some other Batman villains!

After I rewatched The Batman over the weekend, one thing did make me slightly sad. Apparently, Matt Reeves was on the shortlist for directing Man of Steel. As much as I like MOS and BVS, I feel like Superman (and even the DCEU) could have benefited from having Matt Reeves there from the beginning. He’s making a Batman universe, so it seems oddly poetic.

Well the first clayface was extremely realistic and just work a mask and stabbed people

That Penguin show looks all kinds of interesting. I’m in. I just pray it’s a short limited series.

The look of the show does not look far off the quality of the film, Farrel is certainly embodying the role.

It's looking like Joel Edgerton or Josh Hartnett will star as Two-Face in The Batman 2:

  • Very interesting choice, though I must admit after Aaron Eckhart’s performance, my expectations are quite high.

A great, classic character, but I was really hoping we’d get more villains who haven’t seen as much limelight like Clayface.

Joel Edgerton would be a great choice. He’s a far stronger actor than Harnett.

I gave up hope for that ages ago. I'm not sure why each and every new adaptation has to recycle the same few villains time and time again when there are countless others that haven't gotten similar on-screen treatment. It's such a shame.

And yes, the Edgerton-to-Hartnett comparison is night and day. It should no question go to Edgerton. What a performer. I just saw him in Master Gardener and thought he was brilliant in that one.

They should use both: he's got two faces after all :)

Surely time for King Tutt to make his movie debut.

I’m rewatching The Batman. With some distance behind and looking at it afresh, I have to say, this kid is an excellent Batman.

Amen! I was convinced since I first saw at the theater, and my one rewatch so far just reinforced that :)

Same here. I rather like most character iterations in the film. I have yet to warm up on Alfred, though. Zoe may very well be my favorite Catwoman (not counting the three that awakened my interest in the opposite sex as a young boy via the reruns of the Adam West show 😉).

I think Pattinson was solid as The Bat, but the pacing of the film was a slog. Too many scenes went on and on.

Unfortunately for me, I think Kravitz looked like a girl, pretending to be a woman.

Michelle is still my Catwoman ( ❤️)

Pfeiffer will always be the best Selina / Catwoman, and personally DeVito is my favorite Penguin still (I’m just a big Batman Returns fan in general), but Kravitz did an excellent job. I found her a big upgrade from Anne Hathaway in TDKR, who was alright, but kind of felt like a more generic Catwoman IMO, with the least believable relationship with Bruce of the bunch.

Agree the pacing and the third act stop me from revisiting The Batman as much as I do with lessor Batman films, as much as I like and respect what Matt Reeves did with his Planet of the Apes films they had similar issues.

    @FoxRox

I can’t deny that I like how they set up the Bat’s relationship with the Cat in The Batman. I did. And definitely found it an upgrade on Hathaway (Nolan can’t write women; why he doesn’t get his brother, or better yet, his sister-in-law to script doctor his characterization of women in his films, Ive no idea).

But Kravitz, unfortunately, didn’t sell the streetwise, savvy, sexy, survivor to me. I was really bored by her actual performance.

I too am a huge fan of BR.
