Yeah, the track is cool. Oh, you experienced them live? Brilliant! Yeah, Lovely Head also sounds Bond. Like much of the Felt Mountain album. They said the album was influenced by John Barry's Bond scores. I don't think they need any supervision at all...if hired. They clearly know the Bond sound. The only thing that surprises is, I can't believe they're yet to do a Bond theme.

I don't feel like I missed out hugely with not having this one: Radiohead is still the real sucker punch.
I couldn't agree more. Radiohead's Bond theme was so good. You feel the Radiohead style and still feel the Bond style.
For Del Rey, I prefer Swan Song to 24.
Maybe a theme more suited to Jack Bauer? 😁
Lol. True.
I really like this one, it definitely has a Bondian flavour, it's dramatic, her vocals are great and the music at around 1.50 is cool, reminds a lot of Dr No weirdly.
I'm not the biggest fan of WOTW for Spectre, although the instrumental was excellent. I want the next Bond song to be an up tempo rock song, but I'd like Lana to give it another shot in the future
It gets a little more interesting at a faster playback speed, but I agree, too slow, interesting ideas though.
The 24 like to refer to time/24hrs so in that case song also have fit better to NTTD whyle with Spectre preview what to come if there have used it. Whyle it also fit with QOS. Trust issues with M/Mi6 and Beam/Felix (CIA) and Mathis death.
I quite agree. There is only one thing I absolutely hate about the series and it's Smith's whining singing voice. Instrumentals are very Bondian though. I never could stand his music to begin with, but I digress.
+2 for this.
I liked the instrumentals but Sam Smith's voice really ruined it, I wish that song was sung by a woman instead, a female voice is still better sounding in Falsetto than a male voice for me, I have no problem with Sam Smith's voice outside of Bond, in fact, I think he did great in 'Lay Me Down', but that song in SPECTRE just didn't fit him.
Firstly, Amy Winehouse, whose untimely loss was a great tragedy. Her unique voice and raw rasp would have made for an exceptional Bond theme.
Lady Gaga is another artist who stands out. Her versatility is impressive; whether delivering pop hits or jazz standards with Tony Bennett, Gaga's theatrical voice would lend itself well to a Bond theme.
Lana Del Rey has also been mentioned, and while I acknowledge she could create a fitting Bond theme, her monotone delivery doesn’t quite captivate me. I do appreciate her song "Young and Beautiful," though.
St. Vincent could offer a dynamic and edgy Bond theme with her rock and roll vibes. Her talent and distinctive style would bring a fresh energy to the franchise.
Sade should have already contributed to a Bond theme. Her smooth, sultry sound seems tailor-made for the genre.
Lastly, Christina Aguilera might seem like an unconventional choice, but her vocal range and emotional depth make her a strong contender. Despite her career fluctuations, her ballads remain compelling, and a Bond theme from her would be a thrilling addition.
After the likes of Adele, Sam Smith and Billie Eilish (all were big artists in their day), it may not be my preferred artist, but I'm having a feeling and the time keeps telling me it's (or maybe it's too much obvious at this point).....Taylor Swift, she's really big today, so the Producers for sure would be hiring her for a Bond theme, popularity bait, a safe bet, or something like that and I keep seeing and hearing her everywhere, and of course, Taylor Swift doing a Bond theme could attract more younger generations into James Bond, think of how many her supporters were (this is the same tactic that NFL have been also doing since Taylor became involved), then that's how many would be going to see a Bond film because she did the theme song, she's a crowd magnet, people (especially her fans) were following her everywhere, for sure the Producers (Barbara and MGW) have realized this too.
But the only hindrance could be possibly the price of hiring her as she's really big today, in addition to her world breaking and successful Eras Tour (although if she's charitable enough like what I'm hearing about her, she could've made herself affordable), or if she would agree to.
But if not Taylor herself, does anyone have someone in mind other than Taylor who's big nowadays? Because from the pattern I've observed, EON has a habit or tend to hire popular artists in every generation like the three Bond theme singers that we have recently, the same is applied for the directors (the Oscar of The Year director would be assured of Bond podium finish, maybe except Cary Joji Fukunaga) and of course, the endless talks of Christopher Nolan doing a Bond film, for example, and maybe I could apply the same for the Bond plots too, they tend to be trendy and going for "what's the most popular plot, genre, or even film itself this year, and they would make it a blueprint for the next Bond film".
But my personal preference would be Paramore, at least, the closest thing we could've another Blondie type of band doing a Bond theme, after the latter had been rejected in the 80s, and I think Hayley's voice would've been fitting for a Bond film, think of a female Chris Cornell or something like that, or if we want another Chris Cornell, then John Mayer (I think we need more male Bond theme singers).
I liked your recommendation for St. Vincent doing a Bond theme too, @HasanDafer, I agree, she would've been a great choice! What a talented woman, and added her guitar riffs too, I think her Bond theme would've been awesome too.
I like Paramore. But I feel they might be too "punk rock" for Bond.
They are a lot of fun. I hadn't considered them doing a Bond but, yeah, their slightly tongue-in-cheek theatricality could work well.
That's the thing though, but I don't think she's thinking of it herself, aside from the looks of her that she's enjoying what she's doing, I think she's a bit humble in doing service for others, musically, she had even wrote songs for other artists, so with that in mind, she couldn't possibly reject the offer of EON to work in a Bond film, because she has this image of being the 'friendly girl and pretty accessible', so, if EON (which has been very much focused on hiring big time acts) would offer her to do a Bond theme, I doubt that she would reject it, again, possibly even saying some comments like "Me and Barbara are friends, she's a good friend of mine" or something like that (after working on a Bond theme, for example), like what I'm always hearing from her when she's talking other people known to anyone, or after working with them.
I mean, she's a bit generous isn't she? Everytime I see some modern songs, people would say or I would find to some sources that Taylor Swift wrote those songs or if not, co-written by her, for example, she have written one song for is it Ed Sheeran? I will find that song and post it here, I think it's 'Run' and 'Everything Has Changed' and many others, you can find in the link below:
https://www.businessinsider.com/songs-taylor-swift-wrote-2018-5
And another example of how 'humble' is she making herself to be when she made a collaboration with Stella McCartney in her clothes, because "they've been friends for so long", and I think she's been a friend of the McCartney family.
She's approachable, I think, so with that in mind, I think she couldn't for her 'moral standards' and 'image' to reject EON (if they would offer her to work with them, especially with their habit of hiring big artists, again, I don't personally prefer Taylor Swift for a Bond theme but I could see it as a strong possibility due to her stardom and when you take a look at the past (recent) Bond theme singers), and with that example of her partnership with Stella McCartney (a fashion designer whom she agreed to worked with), and some of the songs she (allegedly) written for some other artists, it's not that much of impossibility for her to reject someone's wish to work with her.
She's pretty approachable based on the things I've learned about her, I may not a fan of her songs, but I can see that she's a nice lady.
What do you mean?
It’s not that she can’t do one , and maybe she will do one.
At present she’s probably the biggest entertainer on the planet.
Maybe if she’s chasing an Oscar she’d consider it.
Right now her Eras tour is in full swing with huge sold out venues Worldwide, she doesn’t need any promoting, and isn’t showing any signs of declining in popularity.
