I'm betting some on here have the expertise and time, though.
Lots of talent here for sure.
Well, I'm glad to hear it, @007inVT. There's a very good page on Pinterest with loads of links of pictures of Richard Chopping's cover art, I think. Though, you probably know of it already.
Right. Sorry. I couldn't recall who had posted the link!
I'm interested in Casino Royale, Moonraker, Dr. No, Diamonds Are Forever, Live and Let Die, Solo, Devil May Care and Carte Blanche.
Here's two quick ones for SOLO:

No problem. I need to gather a few props so I can attempt to make my own chopping cover. :)
Thanks!
Are the rose and gun photos with an effect or a painting?
It looks as if he has oilified the gun a tad. Very stylish!
Never noticed that - very detailed. Richard Chopping would have approved, methinks.
What software do you use?
In-Design, After Effects, Photoshop etc?
What is the red cloud meant to be? Just curious. It looks a bit like its coming from Bond though I'm sure that that was not its intention.
I have struggled along with iPhoto and Powerpoint. I really need to get Photoshop or something else if I am to take these up a notch.
I have a Mac and GIMP runs pretty well most of the time, and I like it better than Photoshop, which I took a trial of and didn't really care for.
If you go up to "Filter" and poke around you may find a feature you like. The closest I think you'll get to applying a paint-like effect on the image is by using "oilify".
