Predictable tit for tat. Same as in Northern Ireland. When will they ever learn, eh? NEVER!
Well said. Agreed. When you start to kill people in the name of ideals/politics/religion/anarchy/freedom/whatever-their-reason that very reason becomes void - there is no justification for killing people for a cause that an individual like those in Woolwich saw fit to enforce by means of an unprovoked and most brutal murder of a brave and defenceless British soldier. Hanging is something I'm against normally, but for the murder of a soldier/policeman or intelligence officer I would approve of its reintroduction as the ultimate deterrent, not that those who slayed the soldier in Woolwich would care one way or the other.
Quite. Doesn't it just. I see the mods have given him a verbal warning, so he may be binned.
Your phone is tapped your heart is breakig. Lets go get these psychopaths and burn em
Don't respond to this cretin Draggers. It's well known he's a troll.
You'll find NOBODY who supports their actions, but those murderers were hardly cowards.
Neither were the 9/11 hijackers.
They went out there, put their lives on the line for whatever crazy ideas they hold dear, and stuck to their guns.
Nor did they hide behind masks.
And here they are being called "cowards" by people who are probably too scared to make eye contact with other people on the street and instead spout their hate from behind the safety of a computer screen.
These killers had plenty of guts - just zero compassion.
"spout their hate." You're not quite all there are you? Persons protesting butchery are spouting hate?! Very well.
Wizard, alas is right. Yes, troll. I stand guilty of feeding. But no more!
Riots in Stockhom now , people setting cars afire.....this too by immigrant people.
A month or two after 9/11 there was a plane crash in New York that was a mere accident. It might be merely a unhappy coincidence, although obviously it might also be a copycat.
Cowards sit behind their desks and order drone attacks on Middle Eastern villages while growing fat off the people's labour.
Cowards do not venture out, unmasked, and stand tall to face the consequences after doing something they believe in.
You're missing the point - NOBODY will condone mutilating an innocent person.
That's just crazy.
But these men are not cowards.
Cowards vote for Tory government who would love nothing more than to dismantle the NHS - a service which has saved the lives of family members and friends of mine - in the name of "conservatism".
Look a cancer sufferer in the eye and tell him you don't want to pay 0.001% of your wages as tax towards a National Health Service out of some half-baked notion of "every man for himself".
Bet you can't.
THAT is a coward.
(Not accusing you of this, timmer :) That is focused more towards the proud Tories)
Now he's a proud Banned communist. ;)
Well my last National Insurance deduction was over £280 so if that equates to 0.001% I should be on £28 million a year. Could you please inform my boss as I reckon hes underpaying me a tad. I'm happy to bung you a straight million for your trouble if you could get it sorted for me.
And seeing as I havent been to the doctors in about 5 years I dont think I'm quite getting value for money do you?
Retard.
Has he finally been banned? I keep thinking he must have been and then up he pops a week later with more bons mots.
Yes, he's been binned and thank the Lord for it! Sanity again reigns on MI6. What is it about this place that attracts so many nasty trolls?
Yes, they bravely hit an innocent defenceless man with a car and then they calmly proceeded to butcher him alive. They should get the VC forthwith!
Bastards!
God, if it wasn't for the Tories there'd be nobody left to blame, would there? We might have to look to the Loony Left. Everybody in the UK hates the Tories. It's a wonder they keep getting re-elected and formed more governments in the 20th Century than any other political party! They truly are the party of power for me. They get things done without bankrupting the country at the same time, something the Socialists could well learn from.
Why has it taken so long though? Judi got binned month ago yet this clown has lingered on until now.
Just for the record I dont think anything he has posted here should have got him banned. His opinions are objectionable and retarded but hes entitled to them. Not that I'm losing any sleep about it as it should have happened weeks ago but he hasnt done anything that wrong for me here. Just offending peoples sensibilities shouldnt be sufficient to get you banned - only racist, homophobic and inflammatory threats of violence should be enough.
Like the way its still all the Tories fault because we didnt just have 13 years of Labour did we? Why wasnt everything sorted during that time? Oh yeah because they were busy dragging us into a recession. Cheers Tony and Gordon.
Well, I can't say that I'm sorry to see him go. He had plenty of chances to straighten his path and didn't avail of them at any time. In the 1960s, the new Harold Wilson government that came in at the October 1964 General Election blamed "13 years of Tory missrule". The Left won't refer to the Blair-Brown years as "13 years of New Labour missrule" though.
I wonder why?
What's good for the Tories is good for Labour in my book.
I'm not one for a PR system and I do like first past the post but we need a change and we need to make people think that their vote does count...we should bring PR in.
Just by coincidence the Torries wanted to quickly vote in a new set of powers/laws in view of the Woolwich murder that govt can view your emails or listen in to your phone calls at any time they want....
That's not only disgusting, it's an opportunist way of controlling free thought and expression.
Clegg grew a backbone and vetoed the bill.
It really is uncomfortable that these guys were known to the secret service, were watched by the secret service, were asked to work for the secret service and then were allowed to murder someone whilst they were being observed????? And then we have this bill the very next day....ummmm
Well, here in Northern Ireland we've had a PR voting system for local government and the Stormont assembly elections for well over 30 years and we have DUP fundamentalists and Sinn Fein-IRA in government. The moderates have been pushed to the sidelines and almost to extinction. That said, a PR system would be much more fair though there would be more Lib-Lab governments in the UK, not a good thing in my book at least. Depends on one's politics, I guess. Don't hold your breath on quick change, though. What's good enough for Northern Ireland should surely be good enough for the rest of the UK too. The direct rule government were quick enough to ram PR voting in here to end the days of a unionist majority bloc here in Northern Ireland so maybe mainland GB could do now with a good big dose of its own medicine to purge it of its past sins.
The biggest flaw is that you do not have to pass an exam to vote. How can allowing the same people who vote for X Factor and Big Brother to have a say in who has their finger on the button be anything but flawed and even actually downright petrifying?
I don't know the first thing about fiscal mechanisms but I have a say in deciding who runs the economy. That's insane - and without blowing my own trumpet I'm far from the stupidest out there.
Labour rammed through similar kneejerk laws with the 6 week (or whatever it was) detention without charge so you can't single out parties here. They just do what's populist in the hope of staying in power. That's how politics works.
Same thing with the 1991 Dangerous Dogs legislation. The whole Act was rushed through in a day from what I remember, and what a bad knee-jerk piece of law it is, too, yet, it inexplicably remains on the statute book. I'm a former law student, so I know a little bit. Wonderful what the Government can do quickly when they put their mind to it.
Anyway, on the topic of Woolwich, I think to say "let's cut immigration and forget about it" is missing the point. There are clearly some very strong divisions in our society that breed hatred such as this, and letting less muslims into the country isn't going to address that problem.
This isn't going to end well.
I can see that. Anyway I've said my piece, I'm out of this thread. Neither side of the argument is going to convince one another, I just wanted to make myself clear. Peace out chaps.
