I heard it was originated from Media Mass, I take it the story is satire taken seriously?

There is no source cited. The article is dated today nov 28 citing "new" reports.
The Independent is citing internet rumours which means nothing. Are these reports "new" or the same one that have been out there for awhile? Don't know. Really nothing of substance to work with here.

===if by some chance there is fire with this smoke, maybe Swank is being touted for a Bond-girl role of some sort and Seydoux is the younger "lead-babe" Bond girl.
Bringing in an older actress like Swank, might be considered a daring and progressive move by the new re-boot team.
Who knows? M was the lead Bond girl last time, with Moneypenny a co-#2.
    Anything is possible.

A don't believe this Swank rumour for a second but who says if she appears in the movie she has to play a Bond girl? I can easily see a middle aged woman playing the role of a local contact or even the main villain (with Waltz possibly playing her superior).

The Swank rumour is false. Media Mass reveals it.

Mediamass is a parody website. Type any actress name and a Bond girl rumour will come up. Also, that they engaged, married, pregnant etc. They are bound to get one name right though. A lot of people dismissed the initial Léa Seydoux rumour because Schmoes Knows cited the Mediamass in it's article.

Sure anything is possible. If the Swank root source is mediamass as it appears it is, than the Swank talk is bogus of course.
However, I wouldn't be schocked if Bond were scripted to have an affair with an older attractive woman, with Lea cast as the lead babe.

I'm looking forward to seeing Waltz and Seydoux work together again. They worked well together in that restaurant scene in Inglorious Basterds.

That was Mélanie Laurent. Waltz and Seydoux can be seen together only in this scene if I remember correctly: http://theredlist.com/media/database/muses/icon/cinematic_women/2010/lea-seydoux/004-lea-seydoux-theredlist.jpg

    Oh yes, I stand corrected.

One of the reasons I want Lea Seydoux to be a baddie in Bond 24 is because I don't want another carbon copy femme-fatale of Severine, who was a femme fatale who eventually become a somewhat of an ally for Bond. Not that I didn't love Severine, it's just if Lea has the same characterisation at her it'll be stupid because they'll be giving us something we've already seen in the previous movie.

I would rather Lea's character be similar to that of a character she played from a different movie (Sabine in M:14) than similar to a character that appeared in the previous film in the series because if so it'll pretty much be... PRESENTING LEA SEYDOUX PLAYING SEVERINE FROM SKYFALL IN BOND 24.

Léa has said in this interview that she had known she had the role - 8 months ago! At least that what I think she said at the start of her interview before being dubbed in Dutch (I think. The text in German though..)

Yes, she says for 8 months but can only now truly believe it. So, for 8 months. Wasn't that, when they still were looking at Scandinavian actresses? How does that fit? Surely Belluccis character cannot be for the same role. Like you say, the rewrites must have been major.

EON has waited almost 20 years to get Monica Bellucci on board. Pretty sure they wanted her for TND and were prevented by the studio. Great news. Have been saying Craig needs an older Bond girl for ages.

Also 3 French Bond girls in his 4 outings. He's clearly got a preference.

My exhaustive research tells me there are at least two more Bond girls in this film.
A mexican agent named Estrella and another that we find at Bond's flat.
Hope some clues as to their names come up at some point.

Madeleine Swan looking good (above) She's the lead, joining the lineage established by icons such as Ursula Andress, Honor Blackman, Diana Rigg, Jane Seymour, Eva Green and many memorable others.
    Quite the honor.

I am really pleased to hear that Léa is the main Bond Girl in Spectre. She has the same dialogue coach as Eva Green for Casino Royale (also for Penny Dreadful too) so shall we hazard a guess that her character may have a posh English accent? Also a great opportunity for her to show her acting chops to a wider audience.

Benoit Jacquot her director for Farewell My Queen and the upcoming Diary of a Chambermaid was full of praise for her.

With Seydoux’s Bond girl status solidified and her star rising, the director praised Seydoux. He called working with the French star “heaven, a paradise.”

“I could do all of my films with that girl,“ he said of the Palme d’Or-winning actress. “She’s temperamentally, intellectually and physically able to support a part from the first shot to the last one, which is very rare. It’s the way she works with me. She is so light and serious at the same time. It’s exactly what I have been waiting for in an actress.”
