Yikes. In JL Part 1 the main villain should be this film, considering it's done more damage to the heroes than Lex could have ever hoped to do.

Comments like this about Cap 3 civil war are crippling to WB/DC:

nived ‏@devincf 5m5 minutes ago I lied. One last last thing: this movie plays like a repudiation of BATMAN V SUPERMAN. A devastating reply.

    WB/DC trying to catch Marvel:

    Marvel's reaction to WB/DC:

It's even more poignant after the unecessary shots fired by Snyder and Momoa.

What did Snyder and Momoa say?

Momoa was up for the role of Drax for GoTg but lost out to Dave Bautista and when asked by a fan about why people should join the DCEU his response was f*** Marvel.

As for Snyder, he took shots at Marvel saying, "I feel like Batman and Superman are transcendent of superhero movies in a way, because they’re Batman and Superman. They’re not just, like, the flavour of the week Ant-Man – not to be mean, but whatever it is. What is the next Blank-Man?"

Snyder was a bit too confident in his film when he said that, I wonder what he thinks now. He is gonna have to eat some humble pie when he sees the world flock to the theaters to see Civil War.

I am eternally grateful to Zac Snyder for 300 and especially Watchmen.
But to be honest, I feel like Snyder is a typical one-hit-wonder kind of director.
He doesn't seem able to repeat the quality of his early work.

Snyder's films always seem to have the same look to them (at least the ones that I have seen). They are always filmed with such a gloomy backdrop. Dreary. Let the sun in once in a while why don't you...

Watch Dawn of the Dead 04, it's pretty much saturated in so much sunlight, the Midwest United States looks like the Middle East.

It's a shame too, because I've seen people who've saturated the tones of Snyder's color palettes he uses for his films, like MoS, and the films look so, so much better.

So, now that the $votes are in, can we DROP the muted colours, drab locations, anxiety fueled characterizations & dark tones of these things?

When all is said and done, the movie should make around $200+ million, but this is after DVD/blu-ray/digital sales and selling off TV rights, whereas it should've made that kind of profit from the theatrical box office alone. Hey, if you make a garbage film off of an unnecessarily large budget, then this sort of thing can happen.

Why can Michael Bay make a $1+ billion film in his sleep using mainly big explosions (and I am a fan of the guy) while Snyder struggles to reach $1 billion even when adding Superman and Batman in the same god damn film?

Maybe because people find his films fun, and they have cool actions sequences?

People lower their standards when they go to a Michael Bay movie. They know for a fact that all they're gonna get are explosions and Linkin Park. Zack Snyder, on the other hand, has lulled people into a false sense of "I make intelligent movies!" simply because he made Watchmen.

Wow, most Cinema complexes in Switzerland have "banned" BvS to smaller screens already which is more or less the deathblow to the movie.

And Civil War will be around in just a few week's time to reinvigorate the market. With BvS leaving such a sour taste, it'll get even more praise for being the great superhero film that movie should've been.

Based off of the early reviews alone and the fact that it's Marvel, it seems 'Civil War' will crush BvS in both reviews and box office. This'll be one of the only superhero flicks I go out of my way to check out from here on out, though I doubt it'll be better than 'The Winter Soldier.' There's just no way.

Winter Soldier was Marvel's pinnacle so far. This might be almost as good, which means awesome, of course.

Do you have any knowledge of the Civil War comic storyline, @Creasy47?

Many, many people are calling the movie Marvel's best yet. One guy said that 2.5 hours before CW, Winter Soldier was his favorite, and that his view had changed because of how good the film was.

@0BradyM0Bondfanatic7, none, aside from a massive spoiler I had revealed for me, but no, I don't follow comic books or the lore behind it, so I'm clueless as to what to expect, sans that spoiler and what I've seen in the trailers. Same goes for 'Wonder Woman.'

I think I saw that same Twitter review, too! Gave me high hopes for this being better, but not being a comic book fan and being as blown away and in love with 'The Winter Soldier' as I was, it'll be damn tough for 'Civil War' to be better in my eyes.

    I was told that:

Steve dies and that someone takes over as Captain America.

Could be wrong, could be slightly incorrect, who knows, but I suppose only knowing half of it makes things better, as it's bound to leave me a little surprised.

If that's all you know, I think there's still plenty to surprise you, so don't worry. I expect this film to really shock (in a good way) fans of the series who may not know the comics very well, because this story "goes there," for lack of a better word. If they adapt it right, especially the last issue, we've got a winner on our hands that packs just as much of an emotional punch as it will an action thrill.

I trust the Russo Bros. to come through for us.

    That's true in the comics
But don't worry, he got better... again... and again

Not necessarily so in the movie. After all, it's a different universe, and they might not follow the plot exactly.

Concerning the many upcoming DC comic book movies the only ones I'm looking forward to are:

    The Justice League
    Wonder Woman
    The Flash
    Green Lantern Corps

The rest may be good who knows but I don't see Aquaman or Cyborg or Shazam as solo movie material.
What they should have planned is a Teen Titans movie or another solo Superman movie. They totally wasted Doomsday in BvS.
Superman: Doomsday would have made a wonderful movie.
