Why is it so difficult in deciding which Bond film -'Casino Royale' or 'Skyfall'- is better ????

I think I have opened some appreciation topics in the past for both 'Casino Royale' and 'Skyfall'. And after 'Skyfall' I was convinced the film was slightly better than 'Casino Royale'. But ever since then it has become more difficult for me. Sometimes I slightly prefer SF over CR. But the other time it's the other way around.

Is it because both Bond films are simply damn good? Is it that both Bond films have a similar style and realistic approach to today's world we live in? Is it actor Daniel Craig? Is it coming down to nitpicking certain aspects of each film to say SF is slightly better than CR....or the other way around? Why do both 'Skyfall' and 'Casino Royale' get so much similar viewer ratings on sites like IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes?

What do you think guys?

Wish I could offer up a different opinion but I agree with everything you said. I guess the easiest thing is to prefer whichever I last watched, which was SF. It will change again the next time with CR.

I also have the same problem with DAF and DAD. Except they're both crap and I can't decide which one I hate the most ;-)

This , this, this (with a new entry) and this offer more than enough opportunity to discuss this, @Gustav_Graves.
