Has anybody seen 'Rat Race' (2001)?

Rat Race is one of my favourite comedies, with a great ensemble cast such as Rowan Atkinson, John Cleese and Whoopi Goldberg. I was wondering if anybody has seen this film and what their opinion is?

    Saw bits of it, and one very funny scene with Kathy Bates if I recall, trying to flog a bunny or something.

    I have seen in a few times and find it funny, but not outstanding. There are some brilliant scenes mixed with very cheap ones.

    Saw it on a plane as obviously I would never have paid for it.

    Surprisingly good, although naturally Rowan Atkinson is wasted in Bean mode which the rest of the world inexplicably seem to find hilarious.

    I remember there was one quite amusing gag about the holocaust or the Nazis which had me chuckling.

    I have no shame in saying that I enjoy all comedy scenes in this film, especially when Lovitz exclaims-"I really like your dyke-bike!"

    Haha. So juvenile but have to admit I found that funny too.

    Has anyone seen Its a Mad Mad Mad Mad Mad World (I think that's the right number of Mad's)? Admittedly I haven't but I know Its story is similar to Rat Race's.

    That was it - the Barbie museum for the kids and it turned out to be the Klaus Barbie, butcher of Lyon museum! Brilliant.

    Pretty near the edge for what I presume was intended as a knockabout family comedy.

    He has to learn. I know who Charlie Chaplin and Laurel and Hardy are dont I yet they were all dead before I knew how to walk.

    Yes; I have seen Rat Race. Whilst the Holocaust humor is funny, the Holocaust is not and most of us cannot find humor from such content.

    But also, I fell in love with Amy Smart in this film, embarking upon a love affair which has only grown my infatuation with her in her Crank films, in which she also features.

    I really like Cleese in A Fish Called Wanda. A very funny film, the success of which was absolutely staggering.

    I was merely pointing out that this discussion is not as entirely far removed from the subject of Bond as one might think. John Cleese is certainly the 'greatest comedy legend of all time' when he uses twitter to joke about the death of Reeva Steenkamp who was shot dead by Oscar Pistorius, tweeting that "he must have been legless". Bravo Mr Cleese. TheWizardofIce. Specialist subject- Condescending sarcasm.

    Wasn't it Cleese who once said that the three golden rules of comedy were:

    1. No puns
    2. No puns
    3. No puns

    On that subject Of puns as humour I'd love to hear his thoughts on the two Bond films he was in.

    For me though Cleese's lowest point in recent years was the "Fawlty Showers" AA ad he did. Horrific.

    A couple of years ago I went to see his Alamony tour and, while funny in places, the first half felt quite uncomfortable as he was complaining about how much money his ex wife made during every day of their marriage.
