I was being flippant.
Looks like the tentacle porn worked :)
=))
Ok :)
Then again, I think the single BluRay disc's of "Skyfall" and "Quantum Of Solace" featured extensive behind the scenes production blogs. And before people Starr complaining about those......I really liked them. They also had extended commentary tracks.
Some other weird kind of fetishes of mine is looking at the actual menu layouts ;-). I remember that the disc menu's from "CR: Deluxe" and "CR: collector's Edition" were completely different. Then some years later the film got the Ultimate Edition menu layout treatment.
It will also not appear on BluRay and DVD. I just received the bad news. And on top of that, the entire film will be deleted from existence. It won't appear on digital format either. Also, police will run down the globe to make sure that ALL illegal copies will be removed. "SPECTRE" will be lost. Completely.
>:)
Horrible thought ..lol. I'm looking to my SP blu-ray day :D
No word on international numbers yet for the past week/weekend but we should be roughly around 875m globally.
Late reply..but I agree. I fucking love the QoS PTS. You can hate the movie all you want but IMHO that's the best chase in 007 franchise.
How much to movies usually make from DVDs/BluRays?
It seems like SPECTRE may not even pass 900m dollars.
And the moneygrabbing sony will think it's a flop..damnit they don't know how to market a movie..it's like "OMG HERE ARE ALL TRAILERS AND TV SPOTS!!" is not a good marketing strategy...who would have guessed......
What on earth are you talking about? It's only a million dollars. After 11 weeks, SF did another 3+ million. SP can easily get 1.1 more. FYI, it's at $875,724,613 worldwide. 880 is about right in total.
Umm.......i believe its the MLK weekend in N.America, and after Monday's take, SP should be around $198.9 mil.
It will, if possible be difficult for SP to get that last $1.1 mil, as the films takings are dropping off quite a bit now, and are actually lower than the daily grosses for 'The Martian'.
I do think Sony will try to keep the film in the theaters as long as possible, just to get to that $200 mil mark though.
SF was also playing at 823 theaters at this point in 2013, compared to SP which is playing at 288. SF at this point in 2013 was raking in just under 1 million to a weekend, where as SP is pulling in 1/4th of that.
Every single weekend since the second weekend of release, the ratio between SF and SP's intake has increased, but even if that magically stops, and SP manages to maintain the same ratio with SF, earning roughly 1/4th the amount for the remainder of the theater run, we can expect another 750k for SP, bringing us to about about 199.6m.
As mepal1 pointed out, it's possible, but will be very difficult to reach the 200m.
In the last WEEK film earned just $3.2 mil Internationally.
Finishing around $880 mil Worldwide looks most likely now.
So it has close to 900 mill which makes it only the second 2D film reaching over 800 mill.
Pretty great, even more so considering the mixed reviews.
Yes, that's true, i have just read elsewhere where someone commented that the terror attack in Paris at the time SP was opening really killed the film in that market, as SP's performance in France is quite a long way off Skyfall's BO total.
Mind you in the rest of Northern Europe, SP did very well indeed. In the Netherlands for example SP was top film of 2015 with over 2 million admissions. Not bad considering country has a total population of 17 million.
The optimists get 5-1 odds. :D
Umm, tempting, at those odds for SP to reach $200 mil in NA i presume? :)

I think SP will have made 199+ on Wensday

Yep. Who is in? >:)
The thing is @The_Reaper, do you have the funds to pay us if we win? :)
Have you read my two articles? There's always a difference between the box office predictions movie companies inform about to the media, and the actual box office predictions from movie companies that are mostly top secret.
Looking at the budget, Sony was clearly expecting another $1 Billion + movie.
Sony leaks, you can read an abstract here:
http://www.007magazine.co.uk/bond24/secrets_of_spectre1.htm
In truth, even were it to be released earlier, SPECTRE could probably not hope to match Skyfall’s box office success, although given the intrigue factor surrounding the return of SPECTRE and the possible return of Blofeld the film has a decent chance of reaching the magic $1billion mark. Even if it does not, it is worth bearing in mind that any gross in excess of $600 million would ensure the film surpassed the box office tallies of Craig’s first two Bond films. Revealingly, Sony, in November 2014, set a target for the film of a $200 million gross in the US and $500 million internationally, a tally which looks well within the film’s reach.
