While I said that M was the "biggest fool" in TWINE I did not mean that to be a dig at Dench who I love in the part and (for me) is second to Bernard Lee (it's too early to make a judgement for Feinnes who has only been M for one scene but things look good).

Love the "sexist mysoganist dinosaur" scene in GE.

I am merely speculative about Fiennes of course.

@Ludovico- You're of course correct that M in the field is nothing new going back to YOLT. We an also include Spy, MR, the TLD PTS, and obviously LTK before we even get to the modern era of Barb and Mike even if Brosnan was Cubby's choice. I hope your take is the correct one, and given Mallory's experience it may well be a factor.
