The end of the line? One hopes note. I wonder if those in the know can dig something up.

It will be a shame as the DB5 in the 60's was the biggest selling toy ever and some of their models were really great.

However after the pitiful, abject way they let the 50th anniversary slip by practically unmarked I would not have one shred of sympathy if they went bankrupt.

It would be a shame for the workers but Venkys style management that thinks merely reboxing the DB5 yet again is sufficient for James Bond's 50th anniversary deserves to see their shares collapse.

I despair at the lack of effort, desire, and frankly information on the part of the group who own Corgi? Last year was literally a GOLDEN opportunity to cash in on Bond if they wanted?

I have collected many of their cars and have all of the ICON figures collection in my display cabinet with other items. Before QOS was released they were at some European toy fayre event? Not sure where but it was a preview of what they had coming up next which showed a lot of promise! I was set to part with some serious cash for it only to all go up in smoke!

Nothing else has ever been heard or printed since about this line of merchandise. There is an article on it somewhere on the MI6 website. It is worth a look. Such a shame as Corgi did some brilliant and outstanding stuff. Sadly it appears not anymore!
  • Wow? Just like that? This is the end of an era. And, really unfortunate.

Can anyone tell me if Corgi ever released the 'DB5 Mirror Car' - it was advertised in their Casino Royale catalogue in 2006 and as I remember it was going to be approx £400 - £500........any help would be great.
