Once upon a time, I would have liked Cumberbatch for Thrawn, but now I can't unhear Lars Mikkelsen's voice whenever I think about Thrawn now. I've been reading Timothy Zahn's latest novel, and the words come so effortlessly in his voice.

Also, a desire to get Galen Erso from Rogue One and Thrawn in a room together just struck me.

Cumberbatch would make a good Thrawn

    I can imagine it now:

    "My name is... THRAWN." *Smirks*

Wow, it's clear we all like to see Thrawn make it into a film and for him to be portrayed by the proper actor. ;-)

I have no idea who that is.
  • I don't either, but I just ordered some Thrawn pillows for my couch.

I think they'll really help pull the decor together.

That pillow of Thrawn looks like Hayden Christensen with a receding hairline and blue skin.

I'm fairly certain it was generated by the Identigraph.

For the gamers. Star Wars Battlefront 2 looks promising!

The story campaign will be canon to the Star Wars universe. Taking place after the events of Return of the Jedi. The multiplayer will span across the original trilogy, prequel trilogy, and The Force Awakens.

There will also be a tie in book called Star Wars Battlefront II: Inferno Squad by Christie Golden. It takes place between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back and is set for release on July 25, 2017.
    499?cb=20170415204843
    Wookieepedia's description of the book:
"After the humiliating theft of the Death Star plans and the resulting destruction of the battle station, the Empire is on the defensive. In response to this stunning defeat, the Imperial Navy has authorized the formation of an elite team of soldiers, known as Inferno Squad. Their mission: infiltrate and eliminate the remnants of Saw Gerrera's Partisans. Following the death of their leader, the Partisans have carried on his extremist legacy, determined to thwart the Empire—no matter what the cost. Now, Inferno Squad must prove their status as the best of the best and take down the Partisans from within. But as the danger intensifies and the threat of discovery grows, how far will Inferno Squad go to ensure the safety of the Empire?"

The inclusion of a single player and an exclusion of any sort of season pass is promising, for sure, but I can only surmise they'll add in something cheap like garbage microtransactions to recoup the lack of cash from season passes. Won't be a day one purchase for me but I may check it out at some point.

The fact Battlefront 2 has a campaign is a major plus, Battlefront Lost my interest quick once the novelty of the visuals wore off.

I agree. Once you get past how great the game looks it became pretty dull. The DLC kept it alive for me but all the DLC really should've been part of the game already.
My hope is they'll make the sequel a bit more like the original Battlefronts. Which they seem to be doing with the inclusion of vehicles (like tanks and Taun-Tauns) and character classes!

I occasionally play the earlier Battlefront Games on PC still fun, the next gen Battlefront was very badly structured. Deathstar DLC I played it the day I bought it and not since which says it all.

It depends on how good the single player is, too; if it's obviously half-assed just to appease those who complained about a lack of one in the first installment, what's the point?

The MP for 'Battlefront' was sound, but with each update and new bout of DLC came radical changes that seemed to alter the heart of the gameplay I enjoyed in the first place, turning it into something else entirely.

Being stalked by a Scout Walker was one of the highlights of Battlefront loved that section.

One of my students, a very gifted artist, once drew me a B1 Battle droid in under three minutes and made it look exceptionally good. I've been looking for that drawing these past few days. Still haven't found it. I know I don't throw such things away. Anyway, here's what a B1 looks like and if I find the drawing, I'll post an image of that.

It's a lightsaber. That's why Hayden is "holding" it.

If only all 'teaser trailers' were like the one for The Last Jedi. It leaves me wanting more, and shows me enough of the film to entice me. Yet I have no idea what any of it refers too.
    Roll on December.

I reckon it's an Obi Wan standalone, starring Ewan Mcgregor. Sort of like Episode 3.5. Ewan is the right age now to tell that story.

If they don't make an Obi-Wan movie with Ewan McGregor it'll be a missed opportunity for something great. Especially since McGregor wants to do it. At this point McGregor is more Obi-Wan to me than Alec Geinness. I'm not bashing Geinness, the man IS Obi-Wan, but McGregor is more so.
