    It´s gonna be confusing. They introduced young Lando in Solo, now he will get killed, then they will surely continue with the young Lando saga in another spin-off.

    General Lando Calrissian will most likely take on much of what Leia's character would have done in Episode IX. It is a shame the main four human OT characters never got at least one great scene with all of them together, one of the biggest missed opportunitys ever in cinema, well done Disney.

    I watched TLJ last night and was reminded of Leia’s distress call ‘with her personal code’ near the end

    That’ll be why Lando shows up

    *edit- the big question will be how to handle her absence. I can appreciate them not wanting to kill the character just because the actress passed, BUT one way around it perhaps is an explanation in the opening crawl explaining something to the effect of: ‘after the rebels escaped a maximum hit was placed on their leader, General Leia Organa. Placed deep into hiding, her location known only to her top command.....’ so on and so forth.
    That way, in a limited capacity they can still have her show up via hologram if they have to.

    Consider: digitally recreating her in a distorted blue hologram would look A LOT better than trying to literally recreate her- like in Rogue One

    I actually like the idea of Leia in hiding as opposed to killing her off.

    The easiest way to handle the Carrie Fisher situation would be to start the opening crawl of Episode 9 with "In the wake of General Organa's passing..."

    Okay, we're having that debate now. Fine.

    If we don't act, people complain. If we do act, different people complain.
    To some, we're too family friendly, to others not nearly enough.

    Anyway,

    @Master_Dahark, your post has been edited.

    Public announcement, cartoons of Islamic extremism, Nazis and Communists aren't exactly family friendly either. They shall be removed as well.

    I cannot express how happy I am to see this happening. On the exact same day that the Titans trailer debuted and ruined my childhood, this happens and brings a piece of it back to life.
