I get that people wouldn't like it all that much but for me, I think it would be a smart way for JJ Abrams to respect one of the few (imo) interesting things Rian Johnson did in his film, and also allow him to blend his own fondness of nostalgia into that same idea. It would also allow Star Wars to move away from the Skywalker bloodline being the centre of the universe while still respecting the name as being important.

I'm not saying it's what will happen. But if it were to go down that way, I think it'd be a good way to continue forward.

Despite the title, which seems to be retconning one of my favourite parts of TLJ, this is actually a pretty good trailer and I am really excited now. Although I'm not willing to judge a title fully until I've seen the movie

Looks rather dull to be honest. It's amazing how quickly Star Wars got destroyed unter the new leadership. And no, I'm not blaming Disney. The MCU is proof that this is not Disney's fault.

In what universe is the above trailer dull? It's really hard not to get excited when seeing that.

Title is okay, but nothing too special IMO. Trailer was pretty decent. TFA and TLJ both had mixed results for me, so I’m hopeful this will be the best of the new trilogy.

    The title is fine.

It's a bit rubbish considering the hype built up around it but it's not the be-all and end-all. The trailer itself makes up for it.

    This is a phenomenal shot.

Despite a strand of cynicism from me I have watched this trailer about twenty times already. That is a great shot
That must be Kylo piloting, possibly near the end of the film.

I'm optimistic. I loved THE FORCE AWAKENS, but was pretty underwhelmed (even annoyed) through most of THE LAST JEDI.

You never struck me as a Star Wars person

I expected the teaser no sooner than the 4th of May, but a pleasant surprise and I kinda like the title and look forward to this JJ Abrams directed conclusion of the trilogy.

Too bad we never get a second Solo movie.

I remember seeing this trailer many months before the release and thinking that it looked like nothing I had ever seen before.

What an amazing Trailer! I also like that it reminds me of Dark Star :-)).

Personally, I'd prefer that after this they put the franchise to bed for a good decade. Especially after the side films. Too much product.

Not a decade, but Iger has said they plan to put the Star Wars films 'on hiatus' after Ep IX. Good news I would say. The next trilogy (s), can have some time to be made with a full thought out story next time!

I still would not mind another Solo movie.

Unfortunately the poor box office for the film will have halted a direct sequel, I think. Even though I would like a continuation - Disney + could have a show about it.

    Love it!

Apparently there will be a three or four year break for SW movies after episode IX

I would not be surprised if there was a line in Episode IX that stated 'Let the past live...' that would get a cheer from me

    Where is R2....?

R2 is probably hiding from Lando

On a serious note I really hope the new film in no way references anything Lando did in Solo.

New trailer looks good, though I thought the same of TLJ. And I really didn't like that film. But who knows till we've seen the film.
At this stage I'm looking forward to December. It's a new Star Wars film after all.
I'm wondering how Palpatine will be included. I don't see how he could've survived the events of ROTJ. Maybe he's a force ghost?
Also neither of the Death Stars survived the events of ANH or ROTJ, so maybe there was more than two?

Again I have to ask, what is a force ghost?
