This is very random. Something for the real geek fans. Apparently some strange film made by one of the crew during filming of Return of the Jedi, featuring all the main characters. Han appears at 07:35 and then Luke and Leia. Surprised George Lucas didn't stamp on it.

Well, some sizes are a little incorrect. The head of the ATAT looked smaller than the cockpit of the shuttle, when they should be about the same size. And the ATST looked too small as well.

I haven't realized that. I've been a little moody about Star Wars for some time because of the prequels and the special editions. Somehow Episode 7 is giving me a little hope, a silver lining in a galaxy far away.

I was never a big fan of Star Wars - I found the original 3 good in parts but generally tedious. I do however have a huge amount of respect for the production design, which was amazing. The prequels I've never watched all the way through - I found it a physical impossibility. And when I saw the special editions a few years back I was struck by how bad the new CGI inserts looked when compared to the original SFX. They ruined that brilliant bar scene in Episode IV with all those awful new CGI characters. The fact that George Lucas appears to have little or nothing to do with these new movies bodes well.

Have low expectations which is not a bad thing, still hoping they will take the Dark forces route, which i suspect they will.

X wing looks good, less of the shiny metallic ships from the prequels the better.

Not sure if it's been mentioned on this particular board, but the big rumor is (seriously don't read if you want the movie to be a surprise, because this rumor is everywhere now and starting to look true):

After the big STAR WARS opening text that they do in all the movies, rather than pan down to reveal a big spaceship, this time it scrolls down to reveal LUKE SKYWALKER'S MECHANICAL HAND AND LIGHTSABER FLOATING THROUGH SPACE. Again, his mechanical hand, not the real one he lost in TESB. One of the new young characters finds it and sets the stage for the rest of the plot. Apparently Luke has been captured, which does make sense when you look at how scraggly Mark Hamill's beard looks. Sounds crazy, but in a way these movies always have been. It seems like a good idea to make sense of all the old characters suddenly needing to reunite after so long-- one of the old crew in trouble

Also, here's a spoilery detail about whoever Oscar Isaacs is playing:

Supposedly he's the new owner of the Millennium Falcon....
