As much as I appreciate some elements of Andor I have kind of got bored of it unfortunately, in fact I have unsubscribed from Disney +. My interest in new Star Wars and Marvel content is currently at an all time low.

The idea of Damon 'Mystery Box' Lindelof making a Star Wars project makes me shrug my shoulders, I just don't care anymore.

Damon Lindelof is probably the absolute worst screenwriter in Hollywood. And to me none of this garbage is Star Wars.

Watching The Empire Strikes Back in 4K with Dolby Atmoss. This is one of the greatest films of all times.

I like his Star Trek and WWZ. That's it. I'm not a big fan either. 'Hunt' was a great film, though.

I just finished Obi-Wan Kenobi. Can't say I understand the negativity. Evidently, this isn't great stuff, but for a TV series, it is more than okay, good even. I quite enjoyed the finale.

Just watched Andor Episode 8 a step up from the last one, the oppression of the Empire is well illustrated here.

I am debating whether to renew my subscription as Tales of the Jedi has got good reviews.

The final battle in this show between Vader and Kenobi is essential Star Wars, IMO. They fumbled some stuff, but otherwise I thought it was great too.
One article I read said that they revealed to Kenobi that Anakin was still alive too early, and they revealed Reva's true intentions too late, and that they should have switched these two reveals, which made sense to me:
    • It would have made Kenobi's actions make a little more sense if he didn't realize Anakin was alive until later,
    • It would have been cool to see some of Reva's actions and decisions through the lens of knowing she was actually trying to kill Vader.

It’s definitely the best portrayal of Vader since the OT in my opinion. You think Disney would try to soften Anakin’s turn and betrayal of the Jedi, but they actually double down show bits of him murdering the younglings. Even if they’re just quick flashes, those along with his casual murder of villagers really illustrates how much of a monster he became, before and after his suit.

I do appreciate that Lucas in 2005 didn’t hold back on showing Vader’s dark turn, but I still wish it was more convincing. Going from heroic Jedi to evil Sith Lord was still way too rushed. Ideally, Episodes I and II would give us the heroic Anakin, with the ending of II being his actual turn. III would then be the entire fallout of that turn. If only.

Just finished binge watching the Tales of the Jedi Wow that was impressive, the animation, music and sound design were exceptional.

There were some great surprises and one particular character was given back story that was awesome. This anthology series is easily one of the best things Disney Star Wars has made.

Good trailer, looks like I will get Disney+ back in March.

In recent years several so called SW movie projects have been mentioned with little progress. Recently I heard rumors Rey may be returning in some capacity, I will see it when i believe it.

Mando S3 premiere was a nice diverting “kick off your shoes” kind of entertainment. Mando culture is silly, but I roll with it.

Just re subscribed to Disney + going to watch Mando now, its one of the few reasons I will give my money to that streaming service.

Edited: Mandalorian S3 Ep1 decent enough episode, there was one very funny scene though this was mainly set up.

I may as well watch the last 3 episodes of Andor now.

Mandalorian S3 Ep2 Half of this episode was a complete waste of time, half was OK, I can see what they are aiming for here though it was not executed well. A cardinal sin in story telling is literally seeing the same thing happen twice, the writers need to be a little more creative as this was just plain lazy.

There’s a lot of padding going on with that episode where we just see mundane things. Could have easily just cut so much and have confidence in their audience to fill in the blanks.
