  • Just bit the bullet and placed the order- thanks for the link! I'll be sure to post pics when it arrives! \:D/

That page actually has a few things I'd be interested in getting!
Most notably, Dredd & Van Damme (appears to be based off his appearance in Expendables 2)

That Jean Vilain figure is brilliant.

Van Damme is giving me a 'Terminator 1' vibe in that image.

While it isn't based on any character, I prefer the Enterbay Van Damme figure.

Little in the way of accessories, but it's a superb likeness to modern Van Damme.
  • Oooooh yeah that one has a much better likeness!

That Brozza and Jinx figure are very impressive!
  • First Time Poster, the new Mi6 Agent Paul is getting ready to ship to the US early next month according to the company that I preordered from. This figure will be a welcomed addition to my collection. The sideshow Figures are cool but these figures look a lot better. Did any of you see the Daniel Craig body that is available? It looks great, I picked it up and put a tux on it and it looks better than the "Jack" figure in my opinion!

Welcome to the forums, @Largopabst! How much did that figure cost you, with shipping? I'd love to get my hands on one of these, but they always seem so pricy. Does it come with clothes/weapons/gadgets at all, or just the bare version you linked us to?
  • Thanks for the Welcome Creasy47! I think the Craig body was $59.99 and shipping was about $8.00, the Brosnan figure was $99.99 and shipping was around $10.00. The Craig figure was just the body, head, hands and stand without a weapon and the Brosnan figure comes with the tux and gun. I know they are pricey but they are so cool!

You're very welcome! $68 overall isn't too bad at all, I would probably shell out for something like that at that price. I wonder how much a clothing/weapon pack would cost for a figure such as that.
  • I used a sideshow ppk that I had laying around but the Tux cost me about $50.00! I will try to post a pic later. I just wish some company would pick up the James Bond License. Sideshow had it and released some good figures/some not so good figures. They could have made some great Craig Era bond figures and maybe some more older figures!

Good ol' Pierce arrived! The likeness is phenomenal, but not quite as good as Dan's (which was so real it was creepy).
Not sure why but they gave him such a clunky sidearm- it's not a P99, but luckily I have a few assorted options lying around for him.

Definitely a worthy addition to my collection though, no doubt! Bring on Dalton!!!

I borrowed Dan's PPK for the pics

See what I mean-- the likeness is damn good, but there is something off; can't quite put my finger on it...

No bad blood between these two!

For an unlicenced figure, it's a decent likeness.

There really needs to be new Bond figures. If Sideshow aren't going to take advantage of the licence, then they should give it up, and let another company have a go.
  • Do they still have the license? Sideshow Collectibles has improved greatly since they used to make Bond figs- I wouldn't mind them having another round. They make Hot Toys quality stuff now.

Come to think of it, I don't know if they still have the licence. There hasn't been any licenced Bond figures since Sideshow made theirs. So I have been assuming that they are sitting on the licence to cut down on any competitors. My personal feelings towards the current films aside, they are successful and popular, not to mention the back catalogue of possibilities. If the licences were still up for grabs, then surely one company would have sought to aquire the Bond licence.

I think Sideshow have dropped the ball on their Batman figures. Not only that, but they already have enough licences. I'd like Big Chief Studios to pick up the Bond licence. They have the Doctor Who licence and are taking full advantage of it. I have the 11th Doctor from series 7b, and I can't wait for them to get around to giving the 2nd, 3rd & 7th Doctors, the 1:6 treatment.

As for this figure, Lair Of The Octopus has it up for pre-order for £104 (on top of that, I have the membership discount which would bring the price down a little more). So i'm giving serious consideration to getting it.

I don't think Sideshow have renewed their license to do the Bond figures anymore. Its up in the air now and I'm hoping Hot Toys will take the Bond license. Hot Toys make terrific and realistic headsculpts. But sadly, Hot Toys are more into the hype bandwagon of Marvel and DC Comics movie characters at the moment. So I just don't see them doing Bond figures.

My biggest hope is for Art Asylum/Diamond Select Toys would do a line of 6/7 inch scale figures similar to their Star Trek lines. They could do a series of 2 Packs with Bond and a Villain or Girl.

    Goldfinger 2 Pack
White Tuxedo Bond with Auric Goldfinger.

    OHMSS 2 Pack
Piz Gloria Final Assault Bond with Blofeld or Tracy.

The Spy Who Loved Me 2 Pack
Naval Uniform Bond with Jaws or Anya.

    Licence to Kill 2 Pack
Scuba gear Bond with Manta ray disguise and Sanchez.

    GoldenEye 2 Pack.
Arkangel Infiltration Bond with Alec Trevelyan. (Alec could come with an alternate scarred face head.)

    Casino Royale 2 Pack.
    Black Tuxedo Bond with Vesper.

    And so on. :)

They might not be as big of a name in the market as Hot Toys, but I would like to see Phicen get the Bond licence. What they have been doing with the stainless steel armature, since introducing it into all of their new seamless figures, puts them easily on par with Hot Toys.

I received mine this morning. Overall, i'm impressed, it turned out better than it looks in photos. While it doesn't look exactly like Brosnan from any of his four films, i've convinced myself that it looks like Brosnan from his 5th or 6th film. ;)

I'll have to do something about the gun as well, the only P99 I have, is with the Sideshow Brosnan (Die Another Day) figure, and I have that boxed away.

We have a new boy in town. This time, from Black Box Toys, AND, using one of my Fan Arts as a boxart, haha...unbelieveable.

    Take a look...

What's the overall quality like (articulation, tailoring etc...)?

I had pre-ordered mine from Lair Of The Octopus, but due to Brexit and the £, they have suspended all their pre-orders.

No idea @MajorDSmythe. Those are not my photos. This just came to my attention from a friend, who saw this online and knew the artwork of the boxart was mine.

If they used your fan art maybe you can ask for something from them? How does that work legally?

No idea @dragonsky, but I'll try to contact them asking for one as a gift, since they used something unnoficial as boxart, made by me. Not sure if will work, but it worth a try.

Wow they are not even being subtle this time. They are full on using the Bond name and Brand. First they were just calling him Agent Jack or whatever. This is interesting. Sorry about the stolen artwork Marketto.

Any ideas on HOW do I approach them politely, in order to try one figure as "the designer of the boxart"? :D

    Email them?

Since seeing the box, I hadn't thought about the licence since reading @Murdock's post. I haven't heard about any licencing deal. :-?

As far as we know, they never had a license. I assume that's why they called the Daniel Figure MI6 Agent Jack and the Pierce figure MI6 Agent Paul to get around that. But now they are going full on Bond complete with title artwork, 007 and even stealing fan art which is very low. Something shady is going on that's for sure.

For what it's worth, they were from different companies. "Jack" (DiD), "Paul" (Wild Toys) and this newest one from Black Box Toys. In light of them stealing fan art for the box, I would proceed with caution towards the figure. If this is how the company operate (I know nothing about the company beyond this figure), lord knows what the quality on the figure will be like.
